Provided you haven't got caught taking bungs, taking England to the semi-final of a major tournament = an automatic knighting.

And two finals

Amorim is a hugely dynamic and potentially exciting  appointment for Manchester United if it comes off. Highly rated and watched by several of the biggest clubs in the world. The caveats are he's only ever managed in Portugal and English football is completely different. The amount of managers  that fail to understand the demands of our league is legion. Also it's a job that has seen off some of the most decorated managers in the game and is Amorim ready for that kind of scrutiny and pressure? It's very much a project signing that will need time, patience and a complete rebuild for it to truly to work. Expect the 3-4-3 diamond to become the in vogue formation if he is a success.

Thought Amorim would wait for Guardiola to leave for City.

Was reading something that the former City bloke who is now there CEO (?) might be wanting him for this reason. Especially with Sexy Hugo going to City.

Reckon they'll try for Eddie if the compo they'd need to pay is less than Amorim's?

When England were looking at Howe the rumours was £5 million release clause, Man Utd won't move for Howe

Nee chance.

Gutted if they get that Portuguese fella, purely based off how highly rated he is.

Possibly not but who really knows. I wouldn't be surprised if anyone got on with Ashworth to be honest, given as he seems like an absolute sniveling weasel cunt.

Amorim's release clause is apparently €10m. Considering Jim will have to stump up £17m for the remainder of Ten Hags contract, £5m compo for Eddie might seem a more attractive option.
