Kanj
Sounds dumb, but not as jealous that that they have Slav Bilic. Now Marcelo on the other hand.
Mole_Toonfan
Good for the fans mind. Former cult hero back. Guess it would be similar to us bringing in Ketsbaia. If Ketsbaia had actually shown he can actually manage to a decent level.
Stifler
He's not that impressive as a manager. When Croatia were doing well under him everyone seemed to rate him ( me included), but it soon became clear that it was more down to them having a golden generation of players coming through. Look at the clubs he's been too and at any he's done well at he hasn't actually improved them but just done as they had been achieving already. He's a former player though, so he'll get an extra chance to do well there.
Leek
Gutted I had £20 on Bielsa at 25/1, looks like he'll sign an extension at Marseille then now. The way West Ham were going on about wanting a top manager I'd be underwhelmed with Bilic, wouldnt be to surprised if he went to try and bring Ba back. The College Dropout
Being upper midtable but playing decent football would be good for West Ham for a couple seasons. Move them up a gear.
nemtizz
Thank fuck it wasn't Bielsa.
Ketsbaia
Thank fuck it wasn't Bielsa. Yep. I was fearing Bielsa to West Ham, Carver to us and Sunderland to get someone decent. None of those have happened
Disco
Wiki says he took Lokomotiv Moscow to their worst ever season since the break up of Russia, and couldn't finish ahead of Fenerbahce or Galatasaray in his two seasons at Besiktas. I know that's tough but doesn't seem to inspire. Only finished above them twice in the last 10 years in fairness although it seems like their form dipped massively after the winter break. I think it's a decent enough fit but like you don't massively rate him.
TRon
I think he's one of those managers who are great for personality but not necessarily a good organiser. From a West Ham supporter point of view though it will be a relief after Allardyce as he'll allow them to play football. I can see them being a yo yo team for the next couple of seasons. Village Idiot
Thank f*** it wasn't Bielsa. Yep. I was fearing Bielsa to West Ham, Carver to us and Sunderland to get someone decent. None of those have happened To be honest Bielsa is a manager I would love to have in my league but not managing my team. Amazing personality and playing style, but things seem to unravel rather quickly for him.

TRon
Seems more like a traditional West Ham team now.
toon25
Good. Bielsa would have been excellent for them. Bilic is about their level. He'll jump up and down on the touchline a bit, spout a load of shite about playing 'the West Ham way', and then finish mid table.
Collage
Bilic confirmed Phew. Didn't really think they'd get Bielsa but all this talk got me nervous.

John P
Pretty uninspiring appointment for them considering the other managers they were getting linked with. Bilic's club record is actually pretty poor.
Bada Bing
Doubt they'll be pulling up any trees, but on the other hand he's got that cult hero status so its a good fit in other ways.
KaKa
Yeah, thought they'd aim for someone more established after opting against Allardyce. Quite surprised actually. Bit of a risk this one.
jdckelly
Yeah, thought they'd aim for someone more established after opting against Allardyce. Quite surprised actually. Kanj
While it's cool he's there and I like the dude, Bielsa would have hurt a ton.
The College Dropout
No chance of West Ham getting relegated. Pretty strong squad. Decent age. Investment to come.
AyeDubbleYoo
It's unlikely but I wouldn't say their squad is good. No functioning forwards and an average midfield at best, without Song.
