He's a tiny goalkeeper. He shouldn't be that far off his line, and any keeper will concur.

 

99 out of 100 forwards would have tried to control that with their chest. Coming out was the correct decision.

 

Why, what does coming out achieve?

 

Casillas has always been far too quick to come off his line, especially considering his size. Which is partly why Madrid dropped him.
