I did explain that it was probably not entirely because of his own goal that he got shot, as at the time plenty of people were just disappearing in Colombia, but she still thought I was taking the piss. Flattered to deceive...he obviously was talented but never showed up on the big stage. That's a by product of what the old fashioned 10 used to be IMO and how teams set up to use them and defend against them. You either had that or those who bossed the big games but never really bothered week to week, at least that's my understanding of it reading about football and the tapes available when i was younger.
