So when Ashley took over we were, 18th-20th or so highest revenue income brought in clubs in the world.

Sorry but we are a big club, Ashley may have done a good job to ruin that but we are a massive club. To swallow the bullshit, well i pity those that do.

Potentially bimpy, not right now.

With this owner? This is as good as it gets. Maybe a good cup run. With a man city style owner, as big as anyone.

That's avoiding the question, where do you think we currently are size wise compared to the other clubs?

I do agree actually, but because owner doesn't think or want us to be big doesn't change what we are at our core.

Wont be a day to soon when he fucks off, just a cancer eating away at us.

I didn't, I said this is as good as its gets. We are potentially a mammoth club with the right owners. Right now, we are a just an average sized club with a great support. Not sure what else I can add.

in theory we are, in reality we're a club where no kids come through where the circus has threatened to overshadow everything consistently for longer than ashleys been here. Off the field the club is a shambles and has been a shambles long before ashley came along and the times when things have been good have been down to the hard work and overall ability of Keegan and Robson rather than to any structural superiority that Man Utd for example possess over everyone.

Sadly this is very true.

Pardew's "we're a tiny club" spiel is obviously rubbing off.

Jesus. Did everyone think we were a massive club before pardew strolled in like?

Baffled as to where you got "Everyone thought we were a massive club" from "Pardew's 'we're a tiny club' spiel is obviously rubbing off" mind.

This is only "as good as it gets" because we're that fucking done in from last year that our decent foray into the top 8 over the past couple of months seems like some monumental achievement and not just something that should be expected with this squad.

to achieve it regularily will require a lot more than just a decent first team. Sides like Everton and Spurs are light years ahead of us in every regard off the field. Until work is done to improve everything about the club from the first team down to how we train kids in the academy then any achievement like this or 5th will be fleeting successes as teams with a lot more cash and cl football pick apart our side at will.

these points might say otherwise

Pardew, let us not forget, is working under a Director of Football whose every public appearance brings the risk of an international incident and an owner that has contrived to make an awful lot of enemies in one of this countries’ friendliest cities.

More to the point, Newcastle began this season in disarray, with a summer of discontent that carried whispers of Pardew’s possible exit and star player Yohan Cabaye on strike in the opening weeks.

Pardew did not have access to a budget in excess of £25 million as Pochettino did in the summer (there was only the loan signing of Loic Remy), nor does he benefit from a prolific youth system  established long before his arrival, as Pochettino has done at Southampton.

The most notable graduates from the Newcastle academy in recent years have been Andy Carroll, Steven Taylor and the Ameobi brothers. The Class of ‘92 it is not.

Peering in from the outside, Newcastle do not appear structurally sound, careering from one PR disaster to another and if it were not for the firefighting and acumen of Pardew and Carr in these last few years, Newcastle could quite feasibly have staggered along that Leeds United treadmill to oblivion.

I find it hard to disagree with any of those points considering what a circus the club is off the field

That's smoke and mirrors.

The money somebody has had to spend matters not one bit as we've got some very good players who we've brought in on the cheap.  If spending money was all that you have to do, Souness wouldn't have been sacked here after spending something like £50 million.

Our youth system has been here since long before Pardew turned up so he's had over 3 years to do something with it and so far we've seen nothing, how does that work in his favour?

Pardew was under pressure at the start of the season and rightly so after the shite he served up last year.

It was your comment about pardews spiel rubbing off. No ones suggesting we are a tiny club. All I'm saying is we are doing well with what we've got. We can't compete with those above us, so I'm unsure exactly what pardew has said wrong?

How on earth are Everton light years ahead of us off the field?
