Chris_R
I'll continue with "David, who is a big pal of mine" 2 managers way out of their depth, horrible football, not a clue what they're doing and should be immediately replaced. Can see why he's your mate.

Dave
More quotes: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2556291/Alan-Pardew-aiming-finish-Manchester-United-Newcastle-United-boss-insists-season-isnt-yet.html Pardew said: ‘People say our season is over which is an insult to our professionalism. I do expect we will have all our bodies who matter to us for Aston Villa in a fortnight. We have one game to knuckle down and see if we can get a win. 'You are never safe from relegation until you have 40 points so we are not safe and we have professional pride. The Manchester United-Fulham result cheered me up because it gives us a chance to catch them. Finishing above them would be a hell of an achievement, so that is the incentive for us. ‘They’re directly above us, that’s why I’ve picked them out, not because of what is happening David Moyes, who is a big pal of mine. He’s handling that situation very well. They happen to be the team directly in front of us. ‘It would be quite a scalp for us. People say we have no incentive, but we have a professional incentive and I don’t like to hear it. It irritates me as manager of Newcastle. ‘When we finished fifth that season what was the incentive then? Was it Champions League? There was a point in that season, in January, February when everyone had written us off saying the season was over. Then we went on that amazing run, and I’m not saying we’re going to do that again, but at the minute it’s a little bit premature to write us off. ‘We have to stoke the fans’ passions with results. When we’ve got all our players available, we’re a tough nut to crack and we’ve proved that against Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham this year. ‘This is a job that the passion from the fans can’t help but inspire you. I have enjoyed 90 per cent of my time here but I have lost some emotional games like Sunderland and the cup games which is tough to take at a club desperate to win a trophy. ‘There is pride in doing a good job and we have played some fantastic football and achieved some unbelievable results. By the time I reach my next landmark, which is 200, hopefully we will have the trophy the fans are so desperate to win.’
AyeDubbleYoo
Nothing wrong in that Mail article really, he's just saying they're still trying to win as many games as possible. Which everyone knows anyway I suppose.

Which everyone knows anyway I suppose. well for a start just last week he said we were top of the league ian...now apparently we're aiming to bust out of the league we're already top of and take down the worst manyoo team in 25+ years, but i suppose we'd better be very, very careful 'cause if we do manage it and end up in 7th, or god forbid 6th, we could be in europe again and might as well just fast forward to the 2015-2016 season when we're in the championship still at that point pardew will only have 3 years or so left on his contract, so it's not all bad
Nobody
Those quotes in isolation are hard to criticise IMO, but when taken and compared to the rest of the shite he comes out with he just sounds the hypocritical bullshit merchant he is. ianovthetoon
Clutching at straws a bit, but the article in yesterday's chronicle about bringing in another DOF suggests there will be a review at the end of the season, including Pardew's performance and to look at what direction the club are going in. Perhaps they'll get rid at the end of the season?
Yorkie
I actually agree with his choice of words all positioned in that order - finishing above ManU would be memorable enough and I'd be really disappointed if we didn't. I just don't particularly believe him or think there's any real chance of it happening. Meh.
TaylorJ_01
wank pardew is wank. I'm tired of hating him. It has been about 2 years of solid hate for me. I'm not an angry man, I don't like it.

Cajun
Clutching at straws a bit, but the article in yesterday's chronicle about bringing in another DOF suggests there will be a review at the end of the season, including Pardew's performance and to look at what direction the club are going in. Perhaps they'll get rid at the end of the season? Unless we have an absolutely disastrous end of the season I don't see how a performance review could be any better for Pardew. We will have finished top half, went out of the cups early, were never likely to reach the CL spots with the lack of investment, missed the dreaded Europa league and the sale of Cabaye has been readily accepted. Pardew will have nailed every objective.
mrmojorisin75
Every thread I go in about our players I come out wondering why the fuck they would want to stay here any longer. The list of players he's arguably fucking up is mental: Marv, HBA, Mapou, Santon, Anita, Cisse, Sissoko - all of these are players I could imagine thinking they're rotting away under this clown. On the plus side Gouffran has done better than expected under him I suppose, Debuchy has settled in but might have other options, and Remy we all know about. I just can't escape the overwhelming feeling that he's holding this squad back to a horrible extent, alas it's unlikely we'll find out as they'll probably force a move before he gets the boot. Re: that first paragraph. It's an impressive casualty list. If Pardew stays, the chief scout has to find pastures anew. Quite a disconnect between Pardoo's football philosophy (cautious, only believes in a passing game, if he has a quarterback) the chief scout's eye for particular attributes. Tough decision needs to be made this Summer. One needs to go. IMHO Pardoo would have destroyed Aubameyang. Such a quick & refined player. Sharp as fuck off-the-ball, and reads & always adjusts in accordance to where his midfielders flood forward. Under Pardoo he would have just been a fast striker, asked to battle one-out for speculative diagonals. Too refined for Pardoo. Would have been soul destroying watching Pardoo recalibrate him. Very happy he went to Dortmund. I hate seeing genuine talent dismantled.
