Jayson
I get why he does it, the stats say when we hold on after half time it works 7 times out of 8 etc. The issue is how it leaves us prone to nonsense like today.
BONTEMPI
He will never be the answer. Epic prick that can't string 90 mins of football together.
NoU
Thought he did very well today. Playing against a very good side, we were the better team and should have won. A draw is irritating, but not a bad result, all things considered.
Skeletor
There's no way this one is his fault like. Remy should have killed the game off.
Varadi
Can't really fault him today tbh - thought we created enough chances to have won comfortably, and played some lovely football at times.
Klaus
We played well enough overall to win the game, key players missed sitters and we got into plenty of good areas with poor final passes. No major fault with pards today imo.
TRon
Aye, it's Pardew's fault for Remy not scoring from one of those sitters... We lost control of the game in the second half after they made the changes. Seen it too many times before to start blaming individual players for not scoring every chance. Numbers
Owned by Pochettino today tbh.
Jayson
You cant say we made enough chances when Remys 2nd half chance was a keeper mistake. Pardew held on for the 1-0 & an individual error is why that turned into a draw. If we try to actually score 2 it may not have.
Beren
There's no way this one is his fault like. Remy should have killed the game off. Don't blame Pardew for Remy's missed chances (the one saved on the line) in the first half, nah. Blame him for the second half, absolutely. We were waiting for them to equalise, and Remy's second chance only came as a result of a scuffed goalkeeper clearance. Bringing on Cisse, ffs. BONTEMPI
There's no way this one is his fault like. Remy should have killed the game off. It's the mind-set he puts us in when we have a slight lead. Time and time again. The cunts not learning to just finish teams off.

Don't win = Pardew you cunt!!!1 Probably told Remy to miss on purpose so we get to keep him in the summer, then we can sell him January 2015 [/ridiculous made up shite]

Aye we had that slight lead and we were pushing for a second, doesn't quite go with the regular narrative...
Jayson
Just to be clear, Pardew doesnt get credit for a keeper passing the ball to Remy. Southampton hit the post & scored in the 2nd half. What did we do?

The only thing he did wrong today IMO was being too slow to react to the changes Southampton made which is one of his long running faults. However we should have won 3-1 today but Remy has had absolute mare.

alexf
Main thing I take issue with is Cisse often being the first person to come on. He hasn't done anything to deserve that, and even if you dislike Ben Arfa, you cannot deny he has brought more to the team than Cisse recently coming from the bench. Yet Pardew prefers Cisse before him every time.
Ste
Cisse is a better finisher and Ben Arfa has looked poor upfront.

Pardew's for bringing him on and Cisse's when he's actually on. 3 times second half Cisse look across the line seeing every Southampton player ahead of him and made no attempt to get onside. It's so bad it's laughable.
Guest DebuchyAndTheBeast
it's not as if we had Messi or Suarez on the bench. I think our gameplan was perfect because we stopped them from playing from the back, pressured them and forced them into making mistakes.
Andy
Some good, some bad today. We generally played quite well against a team who are around the same level as us... First half we were tactically well set-up, but again he seemingly failed to prepare the players for their response at the beginning of the second half - "more of the same" doesn't cut it at this level but it seems to be the message that he sends. Substitutions were a bit crap; Cisse is a complete waste of a change and Ben Arfa came on too late - I'd prefer him to be brought on to see out a lead like at Old Trafford, rather than when we're chasing a result - in the case of the latter he tries to do it all himself too often. Not too awful overall though, and at least it wasn't the complete no-show that some were expecting after such a good result last week.
