I didn’t think they were that bad today.

I mean I’m probably judging them against being a mid table team, so the bar is a lot lower than it should be.

They’ve still quite a bit of quality that can win them games, but equally they’ve got some major flaws that need sorting.

The keeper is a shambles (we’ll wait and see how much better this new lad is), Ugarte/Casemiro aren’t good enough, Fernandes is playing in the wrong position and Sesko looks like he’s gonna take a while to adapt (but if we were gonna buy him, it probably means he’s a player). Also think the wingbacks, whoever plays, are a bit meh, given they’re fairly critical to this formation that must not ever be changed.

These have played a blinder in the summer.

They've got rid of the shite/stinking attitudes and signed players who "fit the manager's system" who are also ideal for them to have a very good XI and options on the bench when they sack him and bring in a 433/4231 manager

They're fucking shite but even now aren't a million miles away.

We're nowhere near as bad as opposition fans think we are and also nowhere near as good as we think we should be.

We'll finish 7th or thereabouts.

There's absolutely no chance you finish 7th under Amorim like Frogster. He has absolutely no flexibility and no idea how to get the best out of your squad. You've had a decent 45 minutes against Arsenal, which appears to have been a false dawn, and very little else to get excited about.

You'll be closer to bottom than top again.

Genuine question, are you seeing anything with Amorim that makes you think it's going to a success at Man United?

I'm seeing enough to see it should get a lot better very soon, but success? Not sure.

I'm notoriously patient with managers amongst my Man United supporting friendship group, but if we don't have 7 points from our next 3 games I'll be a bit annoyed.

If we get beat by Chelsea at home I'll be very annoyed.

For me, the team picked itself today. Mainoo alongside Casemiro, but Bruno moved into the #10 position. Found the decisions baffling.

Thankfully teams we'll be competing with this season like Villa/Newcastle/Forest have had worse starts than us.

I don't think you'll be competing with us. The other two maybe.

You played some nice football today, but obviously it's what happens at both ends of the pitch that counts. It was very easy to forget that Sesko existed, and your back three looked shaky.

I'm impressed at your confidence given that you've been quite poor against teams worse than the ones we've played.

Opposition fans regularly watch your matches to get a laugh tbf, I think most are pretty in tune with it. Maybe it's the other way around and you don't realise how good every other team in the league other than Man United is?

Be astounded if you finish 7th or better. We’ll struggle through European attrition. You’ll struggle because your team is extremely unbalanced and has major holes in midfield, holes in defence and a goalkeeper you can’t trust

No Onana, so who’s Mark Goldbridge going to shout about now? Actually looking forward to finding out

He didn't disappoint. I thought his head was going to explode and the Mrs told me to turn the phone volume down from the other room.

You've got 1 point more than us and 3 of the teams you've played have collectively scored 4 and conceded 19.

You would be laughing at us if we had the start you've had as well.

Hated, adored, never ignored and all that.

We've dominated every game, even against the mighty Liverpool with only 10 men. We'd possibly have 12 points if we'd had a recognised striker in all those games. I'm not worried about us at all. Man U, on the other hand, look distinctly average.

Yeah but aside from only just having a striker to play, we play good football and you don't, that's the difference. If you'd had our start I'd be worried that our fun was over.

Oh you're hated alright, this is mardi gras for the rest of the league's fans.

We didn't dominate against Leeds.
