He’ll have ruined so many people’s lives during his time through his own incompetence and he’ll always come back to an argument of saying that he’s provided jobs for people and put money in their pockets. He’s an absolute cunt and it’s a joy to see him make a complete fool of himself daily

There’s a big article in the telegraph about them today.

someone called Kath had been at the club since the 60’s and was loved by all. So much so that Beckham and Ferguson went to visit her often. She died about a month ago. Someone at the club rang her next of kin 48 hours after she died to ask what was happening with her complimentary season tickets.

Sellotape is sent back if it’s bought without sign off, bulk orders of vegetables for the canteen the same (yet they binned at least £9m on ashworth for 5 months work).

It’s genuine madness what’s going on at that club.

Jesus, when I saw a tweet about the counting screws and vegetables I thought it was a joke. This is even funnier than I could have imagined.

all that buzz and celebration from their fans at bringing in Ashworth and ‘getting it up us’ and they were warned he’s another Mike Ashley. They didnt want to listen tho.

This is surely not sustainable. Ineos will sell their shares within a year

With Ashley we blame him because he wasn’t ambitious and didn’t grow the club and benefit from the biggest growth spurt the league ever went though so we got left behind.

what ratcliffe is overtly doing is visibly so much worse. It’s taking a club already primed and taking it backwards as can be. I do understand the need for pruning if things have gotten bloated, but this is nickel and diming and scraping the bottom of the barrel in parts.

maybe there’s a method to the madness and it’ll all work out. But I don’t know which play book they’re following, has anyone ever taken over a club done what they are doing and been successful? Usually it’s the other way around, they invest more.

I genuinely don't mind the whole penny pinching thing. Also, while it's shite for the people involved, it was probably necessary to trim an extremely bloated workforce. The issue comes when INEOS are continuing the trend of awful decisions, and throwing money away needlessly.

Apparently, the 250 job cuts will save £10m a year. Yet since the summer we've now spent £14.5m on extending Ten Hag, sacking Ten Hag, hiring Ashworth and sacking Ashworth. It's a fucking huge slap in the face. This is apparently while having the "best in class" to make these decisions.

Yeah the cost cutting is understandable and probably necessary, they’ve just utterly poisoned the well with their bad football decisions.

Wonder if the almost certain hike in season tickets prices might send the fanbase over the edge.

Goes down quite badly though, no? You can’t sack millionaire Marcus Rashford to save £300k a week, but you can sack the people who clean the toilets.

From an emotional point of view maybe? From a business point of view why would I incur a hefty cost to dispose of an asset?

They are actively trying to move Rashford to be fair.

Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada has launched an investigation into Old Trafford leaks and has warned staff in a bombshell email that revealing club information will be considered “gross misconduct” which could get them sacked.

Berrada sent the 580-word missive to employees earlier this week as details of the radical cutbacks and potential redundancies at United have emerged, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe slashing jobs, cutting perks and streamlining expenditure in the year since taking control of football operations.

The investigation into leaking has got off to a strong start by being leaked.

I mean they’re probably all going to get fired in the end whether they leak or not. It’s almost like fanatically driving morale into the ground might have a negative impact?

Sacked and laid off are 2 different things though.

Indeed, I’m being a bit tongue in cheek here. I’m suggesting there’s little chance of quelling the leaks when everyone hates you and sees how you treat their mates with such ruthlessness.

I agree with that.

250 people may be off the books but I'd imagine that outside contractors will take on some of the roles, making the £10m saving a lot smaller in reality.
