loki679
I look forward to the flood of Cabella fanboys and their broken English.
Alberto2005
Jesus some players really are deluded. Coming to us would be an absolute horror decision.

Guest
To be fair if he's listened to Cabaye we have a chance. He was a regular in the France team here, spent 1.5 of his 2.5 years here competing in & around the top 6, and got picked up on a bigger contract and bigger club at the end of it. Easy to see why he'd promote us to someone like Cabella.

Klaus
We are a good stepping stone for players like , no worry at all that we wont cash in when offers come in from bigger/better clubs. I hope Cabaye hasnt said it as blunt as that though .
Guest
There is the risk of being Pardewed of course so could fizzle down the drain like Marveaux.
Ketsbaia
This 'stepping stone' status is the only thing stopping us being relegated while Ashley/Pardew are here.

The Prophet
We're still a cracking stepping stone for players like Cabella, unless he's too creative of course.

They can't sell NUFC to a player by saying how we are an ambitious club aiming to win things. They can give examples in Cabaye, Ba, Remy and the like and say how playing for NUFC in the Premiership boosted their careers and helped them move up the ladder. Depressing for us as fans but good for prospective transfers to see a benefit in moving to NUFC.
loki679
What's the point? Might as well just sign the average cloggers who'll keep us in the league.

loki679
But what's the point for us? Why should we give a fuck who we sign?
loki679
Sorry, it just hit me. It doesn't make any difference at all. We're not going to win anything. We're not even going to try to win anything so which players fatty purchases has as much relevance as which brand of coffee he buys. Does it make a difference watching Cabella get us to mid table mediocrity rather than Ben Arfa or Townsend? Is it massively better if Puyol keeps us in the league instead of Colo? The team may as well be: [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] [insert name here] Makes no difference whatsoever what names you fill in. Yep, aiming for 10th and not even trying in the cups, we're souless. what the fuck does it matter who we sign, that lot and a manager like Pardew to bore us to death. Why bother. Shush
We have no chance in getting Cabella, their owner hates us and Cabella probably knows he can do better than us. Plus we will want to do the deal 30% to 50% cheaper than they will allow.

AlanSkÃrare
I was at Parc des Princes yesterday and saw him for 90 minutes. Technically gifted but isolated with Mbaye Niang for 90 minutes, couldn't create much and didn't look like a player whose impact we'd be in need of. If he were to replace Ben Arfa as our sole creative hope, I don't see him matching his ability nor offer anything in terms of work rate, based on last night. oldtype
If Cabella is good we won't sign him. If he's bad we will. If he's good and we somehow sign him we'll make him bad. If we fail to make him bad we'll sell at first ask. I think that just about covers all the bases.
