Deuce
Anyway, it's moot point. He wouldn't get near the same amount of abuse if he played for any other club and if he were any other nationality. He'd just be some other guy.
Belfast Mags
You're right tbf. Problem is, he plays for the unwashed, is American and we have quite a few American posters. This is never going to work out
Deuce
Tbf, if were actually playing well for them, I'd have been banned a long time ago in retribution.
Belfast Mags
He goes to the WC, finds his form, scores some good goals, comes back, shitness returns, everybody wins

Guest JS
If he were 29 years old, you'd have a point. However, he's just now 24 and only started to get regular playing time when he went to the Eredivisie two years ago. He left MLS way too soon and it stunted his development. You can't really polish a turd though. At all the clubs he's been at there's a reason he only got more than a handful of appearances and some goals in the Eredivisie. I really don't know how he can even get into the American team based on this form. He'd be better suited to playing under Pulis or at somewhere like Stoke. colinmk
Watching Manu and it seems pretty clear that their problem is centre mid. Rafael on the right and Mata cutting in looks quite good but their centre mid doesn't recycle possession anywhere near quick enough, Carrick should but he seems a lot slower to me this season. Neither Fellaini or Carrick break up the play much either, Fellaini floats about trying to use his strength and Carrick holds his sitting position but isn't very aggressive. Can see why it's quite difficult for Moyes at the moment, if you look at their personnel then none of the centre mid pairs make that much sense.
