Once again another uninspiring league performance yet the clean sheet and win. w*****s.

They've absolutely battered Elche 2nd half.

Wasn't impressive. Just done went they've be doing for a while now and just doing enough in matches.

That Sanchez for Elche just plays like he's having a kick about in the park

Maybe not but the deserved to win and did. They're obviously & understandably not Real or Barca so it's obvious they're rarely going to batter teams because they don't have the players to do so.

They're almost the paradoxical Chelsea, play the same with similar results but it shouldn't be the case.*

*:anguish:

Oh that team that spend about as much money as us and are winning the Spanish league ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona weren't impressive when they won? Cry me a f***ing river mate

They've had no more or less 'ground out' games than either of the big 2 IMO, even the narrow results they are usually the better team.

They don't have the players to play like Barca or Madrid anyway, since those 2 have 4 times the budget. Atletico's strengths are in the organisation, workrate and collectivity of the players. Even their main man isn't a superstar like Messi or Ronaldo, he's a scrapper who has the face of a man who's seen many crimes. Hopefully they get the job done, its far more of an underdog story than many will give credit for. Doubt the duopoly will be broken for another 20 years.

I do agree with all that tbh, just frustrating for me

If Atletico win the title it will be an absolutely staggering accomplishment, don't get how anyone couldn't be blown away.

Even if they screw it up in the next few games, what they've done on the budget they have is unbelievable. One suspects it won't happen again for a while.

Couldn't agree more, makes Liverpool amazing achievement this year look mediocre.

Spurs don't seem too arsed, think Fulham can get something here.

Holtby will be a big miss for them. At least we've got through the first 15 without letting in two goals.

We've got an almost completely makeshift defence (I include Rose in that, frankly). Can see our typical game: let in a couple of silly goals but our classy players making a couple too.
