Not sure how good a deal it is for Swansea. Obviously it's a lot of money, but not sure if they are going to be able to fully replace him. Heard they want Chadli, which would be a good start, but they will still need to get a few players in order to stay up. Don't think they are going to be able to get enough in by the end of the window.

Sigurdsson is as close to guaranteeing 20-30 goals a season for that Swansea side one way or the other. It's a massive blow for them.

His record would suggest otherwise. Hasn't scored more than 11 in a season since 2009-2010 season for Reading in the Championship.  Good return though still.

I think he's on about goals + assists.

"De Telegraaf reports that a deal between Ajax and Spurs over Davinson Sánchez isn't close. The clubs are €10m apart. Spurs have offered €40m, Ajax want €50m. Sánchez has already agreed personal terms."

£45m for Siggurdson is absolutely fair enough within this ridiculous market like.

Still. Three assists from open play last season.

Why would you exclude his 10 set piece assists? They're buying him for that and his goal threat, not his assists and goals from open play.

Even then he's still a clever player in non-set piece situations, so it's not like he's the free kick version of Dean Whitehead or something.

May as well discount all of Robert's set-piece assists while at it.

Deano wasn't that bad from a dead ball if truth be told

 last I checked, a set piece goal and one from open play count the same.

 Rory Delap would have been the better example tbh.
