If you could pick the Premiership clubs, who would you have?

Kaiz posted something about what clubs would you gladly see wiped off the footballing map and it got me to thinking.

Given we are all different ages, from different places, with different biases etc it would be interesting to see who you'd pick to be in the Premiership if it was down to you.

Obviously we are suspending reality here but they have to be eligible to play, so any football league clubs effectively.

Use whatever criteria you like, personally I'm picking mostly clubs I feel or at least remember to be top flight clubs.

My Premiership would be;

Arsenal

Aston Villa

Blackburn Rovers - really old traditional club

Burnley - see above

Chelsea

Coventry City - mainstay in my youth

Derby County - just because

Everton

Leeds United - don't like them but they are a big club

Liverpool

Manchester City

Newcastle United

Norwich City

Nottingham Forest - mainstay in my youth

Sheffield Wednesday - mainstay in my youth

Sheffield United - need them for a good derby

Southampton

Tottenham Hotspur

Watford - liked their kit as a kid

West Ham United

Is this realistic or can I fill it with Whitley Bay type clubs?

Anyway with a semi realistic option and in no particular order (keeping the 'untouchable' clubs)

Newcastle United

Leeds

West Ham

Liverpool

Man Utd

Man City

Tottenham

Arsenal

Chelsea

Aston Villa

Sheffield Wednesday

Ipswich

Southampton

Doncaster

Huddersfield

Nottingham Forest

Everton

Derby

York

Sunderland

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Blackburn, Chelsea, Derby, Everton, Ipswich, Leeds, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottm Forest, Sheff Wed, Southampton, Tottenham, West Ham, Wolves,

Leicester just miss out. I'd like Bristol City to get their act together too because Bristol is a big city in a region that doesn't really have a good club.

Wednesday, Forest, and Leeds are the three Championship clubs I'd like to see up. I'm ok with Derby too even though they bring awful Allardyce memories.

Rotherham would be my ultimate wish.

This would be a fun league:

Newcastle United

Sunderland

Man City

Man Utd.

Liverpool

Everton

Spurs

Arsenal

Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield United

West Ham

Millwall

Southampton

Portsmouth

MK Dons

AFC Wimbledon

Nottingham Forest

Derby County

Aston Villa

Birmingham

Derbies galore.
