Nah, English league's don't allow that at all now. Used to be up to the clubs, and still is in European competition to put it in the contract, but players can't play against their parent clubs in the league by default.

O0 thanks. That's reassuring having just re-watched Shearer and Fenton link-up to hammer another nail in our 1996 aspirations. Apparently the latter had a few NUFC-supporting friends down staying at his place on the eve of the Blackburn match. Hope they gave him plenty afterwards!

How old was Harry Kane again before he made Spurs team again? And after how many 'unsuccessful ' loans?

He was 20/21 when he started to break through, and scored 14 goals in 56 games on loan at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester. Armstrong has 26 in 74 games on loan so far as well as 30 goals in 49 for England at various levels at youth level.

Didn't know Kane's record was so bad. Still though these promising young players we always seem to have never seem to amount to anything. Either we overrate them or our youth system really is that bad that it kills their potential.

Think his biggest problem is that he's too small for a striker imo.

Just like Adam Campbell was. It's ok when you play at youth level or even in league one but in the Premier League or Championship I think you must be strong to cope with the defenders.

Hope he will prove me wrong. Theres still time for him and I think it's the right move to loan him to a championship club as long as he get games.
