jimmymag
Why can't he be our Harry Kane? Certainly had a better young England career and is now gaining experience on loan.
Mikky
Why can't he be our Harry Kane? Certainly had a better young England career and is now gaining experience on loan. I think he/the club wasted a season sitting pretty much on the bench this and last season: should have had another year in league one straight after the successful Coventry loan to give him more experience of regular football Worked wonders for Dele Alli

xLiaaamx
He can't be our Harry Kane because he's got nowhere near that level of talent. England Youth isn't the be all and end all.

I don't recall Harry Kane looking anywhere decent until he came back after all his loans.
Dokko
If he was 6ft 2 with all he has now he'd be making it in the championship. But his size let's him down as a lone striker so he's forced on to wing support and doesn't have enough skills to pull it off. His only chance is a paired support striker, so really under Rafa he's not got any hope of making it. Still hope he cracks it, but time is running out. Happinesstan
Can't be arsed to check but I'm pretty sure at Armstrong's age Jamie Vardy was making it in non-league football. Not comparing them, but maybe Vardy would have struggled in the championship at that time and might have been completely overlooked.

James
He is not a lost cause just yet but perhaps a loan spell outside of the English leagues where they either play two up top or are less obsessed with physique will do him good. Maybe Dutch leagues.

triggs
On Armstrong, I think he's talented from what I've seen but with less 442 being played these days, short strikers have to be unbelievable to make it or they'll get shunted out to the wing. Should have a good career in League 1/Championship even if he doesn't make it in the PL

I meant league one sorry. The Championship I feel is a level just too high for him. Hope I’m proven wrong, either way though, he will never be PL class. triggs
He hasn't really got a fair crack of the whip in the championship yet IMO. Wasn't a guaranteed starter at Barnsley and was played on the wing for Bolton
joeyt
Not sure which Championship teams would be able to make him a guaranteed starter though especially now based on his record so far in that division. He's played for two teams with pretty weak squads in that division and he's not going to start in any teams that have strong squads. He played quite regularly for Barnsley but went long periods without scoring

Wasn't a guaranteed starter at Barnsley and was played on the wing for Bolton He might do a Danny Graham. Drop down the leagues first for regular football before working his way back up. But the fact clubs like Bolton & Barnsley couldn't play him regularly in his preferred role suggests he's not Championship quality yet.
