Gallowgate Toon
CM is a really difficult position to come in to, especially when you've not had much time in a 2 man mid and are expected to be the more physical midfielder. Gini will get there, he's seemed to 'get' the league much more when on the ball in the last 2 games. I expect Perez to nail down the AM spot, Gini hasn't had his intensity or direction when he's started there. He was terrible in the last game like He was decent in the second half, I thought. Some driving runs and more direct.
Stottie
Played really well today, think we would've had more chance of holding on to the lead if he had stayed on. Yep, we might have coped better when Ramires came on.
Guest
Been very critical of him but thought he did well.

mozy
Yeah, we missed his work rate at the end. Those are the situations he excels in.
Ally
Thought he played well last night, if we're playing 4-4-2 though he needs some definition to his role. Holding, box to box, attacking? Granted he's not great at either but we need something
AyeDubbleYoo
Yeah, we missed his work rate at the end. Those are the situations he excels in. Normally he goes out of the game at about 60 minutes anyway. Glad he did well though, if he's going to start then McClaren needs to get him to raise his game like that every week. TRon
He was good yesterday four one simple reason - he didn't hide. A I've said it before but he's technically a decent player, but he just doesn't get about the pitch enough. I don't know if that's because he's being told to hang back, but with Anita behind him he should be getting box to box much more than he's shown so far in his time here. Much better yesterday. That block at Old Trafford? Put in a few against Southampton late on too IIRC. Anyway, agree with TRON's post, was a few times in the first half he was bellowing at Colo to give him the ball. Tooj
I'm not a fan but I thought he was decent yesterday, more-so his passing seemed to be more positive than usual.
Chrisjraby
Colback and Anita slide tackling each other while Chelsea kept the ball just summed it up for me. Fed up with him conceding ridiculous fouls as well; I know sometimes it prevents a counter attack, but he seems to just foul all the time.
Minhosa
One of his better games yesterday imho.
Sho Time
I was relieved when he picked up that injury, then I saw Obertan getting read to come on... Where the fuck is Rolando Aarons ??

Marmoset
I really don't rate him more than an average bottom half cm, but some of these comments and those during the match thread are simply cringe worthy.
nufcjb
He's going to get himself booked against City so that he returns against the mackems isn't he?
The College Dropout
Was very tidy on the weekend. Closed down extremely well for once. The one game we needed him for 90 minutes he picks up an injury. Typical.

TRC
Wijnaldum should take them. Remember when we had Robert, Solano, Shearer and even Speed that could take a canny freekick.
AyeDubbleYoo
When we get a set piece now, I'm just waiting for it to be over so we can get on with the game. Like the cut scenes in computer games. It's an absolute farce.
Marmoset
Would be interesting/depressing to see how often we score from set pieces vs. how often we concede from counter attacks to them. Might be in our best interests to just lump them all into the stands.
