DJ_NUFC
He linked up well a few times and definitely adds something to our attack even on his days off (like today), but he needs to not be so passive and get involved a lot more. They need to have a word with him.
mozy
Aye he was quiet tonight. I'd say give him an extended run on the left now, let him get familiar with it.
Mole_Toonfan
Poor by his own high standards, but still played his part IMO. Some good passes and moves. Should have done better on the chance he had. Aye, just disappointing that with Wijnaldum playing like that he didn't perform to his usual standard as we probably would have scored a 3rd before the Rooney goal. Mole_Toonfan
Not sure he was better than me today Let's not go nuts.
Guest
Been disappointing in his last half dozen starts or so imo. Goes against the grain on here but needs to do more. Wouldn't be the worst thing to use him as a super sub on 60-65 minutes like we did with the two wins before Xmas.
Mole_Toonfan
In all fairness it says more about the squad, we don't really have an alternative if he doesn't perform well. Both he and Mitro could use competition.
Hughesy
Love Perez but hasn't been playing well for while now. Looks sluggish and his decision making isn't particularly sharp.
Aiston
Title change to: Ayoze Perez is better than you but was really fucking shit vs Man United.
Belfast Boy
On form he deserves a spell on the bench as the first choice sub, but of course we have no one else to play out on the left
Mole_Toonfan
Needs a bit of a rest, I reckon He does look knackered tbf to him.
Bimpy474
Needs a bit of a rest, I reckon That perfromance might get it, i reckon Shelvey will start in place of him with a slight formation tweak.

Yorkie
Needs a bit of a rest, I reckon Was just coming in to say the opposite. He's been poor lately and was absolutely garbage tonight - looked a different player altogether. But he's a little gem and deserves to have the faith kept in him, especially with new players coming in and (hopefully) a new lease of life throughout the team. If Shelvey and Saivet work out as planned, it has the potential to transform the whole team. Not convinced it will happen but I'd rather it did with all of our best players involved. Ayoze is one of them.

After tonight i don't want to see Wijnaldum out of the middle, mind you i would have said the same about Perez earlier in the season.
Guest
He just looks burnt out to me, played a fair bit for us. And has been relied on a lot. Agreed tbh and he was brilliant off the bench v Liverpool & Spurs. No harm for a game or so.
FustinoSolano
Was amazed he lasted so long tonight. Clearly has talent and ability but think he's been slightly over-hyped by some fans. Maybe a rest would do him good.

Kanj
he either plays LW/RW or CF for me as long as Gini is fit.
Nobody
Set up Gini with two golden chances in the last two games, nice to see them having a bit of an understanding.
mrmojorisin75
Shame the brain trust in our support have probably fucked using Thauvin for the time being or we could rotate those two a bit in the wide left position now that we have a midfield that might actually function. triggs
Didn't think he was as bad as some thought. Set up Wijnaldum for his great chance and tried other things that didn't come off as talented players like him will. Not going through the best bit of form though obviously. Still wouldn't drop him though given the alternatives
Lush Vlad
Looked gassed and a bit off the pace. Should have came off earlier, as he wasn't really offering much towards the end.
Conjo
Give him a rest, and give Thauvin a chance to start the next couple of games.
ads
I don't think Ayzoe needs a rest, I think he needs to play a little more unburdened. New faces will help him massively IMO. There's an over reliance on certain players to produce - Mitro very much included, but they're both very young lads and it's a lot of pressure to play under at that age. AyeDubbleYoo
I do think Perez has been very poor the last few games, wouldn't have a problem with taking him out for a couple of matches. Still love him but I don't think he's athletic enough to play wide unless we dominate possession.
