The way the ref was calling the game it was never going to be a red. Balotelli had just gotten away with two fouls and we weren't getting many 50/50's so he made a statement. If anything it brought a little bit more life into the team and crowd. Thought it was awesome tbh

Certainly looks an upgrade on Debuchy.

Completely disagree there like.

If you compared Janmaat's first 10-12 games with Debuchy's first 10-12 then there's no contest who started their NUFC career more positively.

How many assists did Debuchy get for Newcastle?

That maybe the case, doesn't mean he's better though. Like the whole Ba vs Remy stuff and Ba being preferred because he did more for the club.

Doesn't mean he's a better footballer.

I very much like the look of Janmaat but it seems people here are being guilty of having short-term memories when it comes to how good Debuchy currently is.

Think Janmaat will obliterate that stat after 50 games for the club.

The biggest indication of how I think he's doing is that I don't feel like we're missing Debuchy.

Overall ability wise, they seem similar - Debuchy probably better defensively, particularly in the air, and Janmaat is probably slightly better going forward as he has better feet.
