toontownman Posted July 26, 2014 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Haidara did play well to be fair, Gouffran, Colback, etc so so.. was a pedestrian game where we looked in control and composed for the most part, a few defensive lapses aside. Trying to dampen expectation on Aarons and Perez too, because of their age. However, I think most people would have been delighted if that was a first look at two new signings that were say 24 or 25 though. Excited to see their progress and hope they don't get Pardewed like every other batch. Notice in all the talk about the new batch (Aarons, Streete, Satka, Armstrong) there is not a peep about the players he has praised and promoted in the past (Ameobi, Campbell, Ferguson, Bigi, Vuckic, Abeid).
