AyeDubbleYoo
The only reason we buy players like him is the hope he bursts onto the scene and turns the heads of City, Chelsea et al. He's not being bought for the benefit of the football team as such, he's been bought to make money for the club imo. Fairly extreme innit?

Only a matter of time, whether it's this season or next, that we'll start to hear Pards bigging him up in the media. Very soon after that it will be "we'll have to be strong if any bids come in for him this transfer window, don't want to lose him but we're not in the strongest position financially etc etc blah blah blah". Enjoy him while you can, he looks like a potential star.
r0cafella
Jeez though, any player will leave eventually, just enjoy it while it lasts. 9 months then.
Mole_Toonfan
Knew he'd be great the minute I saw him in pre season, FFS Mole. So did everyone else by the sounds of it, yet I'm the cunt.

He's not being bought for the benefit of the football team as such, he's been bought to make money for the club imo. Fairly extreme innit? Don't think is tbh mate. Most players are bought by other clubs because they fill a specific role in the team and they'll add more attributes to the squad. We buy with the sole intention of seeing their value increase so we can move them on at a (large) profit. The contribution they make to the team is pretty much irrelevant. It's not "what can this lad add to the team?" it's more "how much could this lad be worth in a years time?", the priorities are wrong and that's why the majority of results and performances have been so horrendous for the last 2 years. The needs of the team come a very poor third to making/saving money and promoting Sports Direct and it fucking stinks.

Guest palnese
Probably his worst game for us, but he's a kid. He'll have his ups and downs. Lovely prospect.

Gallowgate Toon
He was absolutely knackered for the majority of the second half, to be fair to him.
Guest antz1uk
some kids, you see them start or come on and they have good games or play in fits and starts and still go on to have a decent career, this lad looks a real prospect, has raw pace by the bucket full and just runs with the ball, composed in front of goal too, think he can go on to be something special, unfortunately we all know it won't be with us. bhoywhonder
The run where he skinned glen johnson on the line, and johnson pulled him down with complete petulance. It was the archetypal hungover old bloke getting skinned by the sober upstart during a sunday league match. Wouldve loved to have seen more of that, but Johnson appeared to have sobered up second half.

Still living off the good spell he had playing as a winger at Pompey.
Guest Recoba
Johnson relies on his pace as he cannot defend. He shat a brick when he realised Aarons was significantly faster than him. They doubled up a lot after that.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
He's only just come back after 2 months out. He said he was knackered after 45 minutes against Man City. It will take him a few games to get fit enough to last 90 minutes.
