TRon
They have an affinity with the club, none more so than Paul Dummett, who’s taken a bit of criticism here. What criticism is he talking about? I don't remember the crowd being particularly vocal in their criticism. Or is he talking about social media? It's common knowledge all around that he's not very popular. Especially given the vast majority much prefer Haidara.

BrettNUFC
He's just knows he's not very good I suppose. Even Pardew knows it, why he has to mention where he is from and how much he loves Newcastle. It's pathetic really. Shouldn't matter if you're from Newcastle/London/France, most talented player should play. It's just a big bonus if the most talented is local, in which this case, he isn't, so Dummett shouldn't start.

Probably the 'Dummet out' banner that was at the training ground. If he's making a judgement about Newcastle on the basis of one banner that's pretty idiotic. I would guess that the vast majority of the fans who attend games are not critical of Dummett at all. I know they are here, but why would that bother Pardew? Looks pretty going forward but Dummett is the better defender.
Ronaldo
I can only assume those wanting Haidara in the defence want us to concede goals, which currently I'm fully in favour of.
Jesse Pinkman
I honestly don't think I'll survive December if he is still here. The sheer depths he will go to, to lower expectations for those December fixtures
Jesse Pinkman
Also he keeps mentioning Hull and Palace win but we didn't even beat Palaces second string in 90mins it took extra time!
arnonel
I want Haidara in defence because im hopeful he will become a good player with experience. I dont want Dummet because he may not leak as many goals in the next 5 games, but he is always ALWAYS going to be a championship footballer.
NG32
We didn't beat Hull either but it has some how been turned into a victory.

Essentially this, and Haidard can actually kick a football. I don't dislike Dummett, he gives his all as Pardew said. That doesn't mean he should be playing though, sadly. Ronaldo
Dummett's a defender who can generally defend. Haidara will become a player in time but I have doubts it'll be at LB. Can't see him ever being better than Santon, either.
AyeDubbleYoo
Neither of them will ever be better than Santon, we need him back ASAP.

Tiotes Witch Doctor
Are people here actually claiming Santon is a good defender or am I misunderstanding? TRon
Hej is simply a lot better than Dummett and Haidara. Is he? At least Haidara will put in some good crosses from out wide. I'm not sure he's much worse than Santon defensively either.
The College Dropout
Dummett's a better defender than Davide. Davide is useless in the final third but he carries the ball very well and gets us up the pitch. The Dummett floater down the byline to the opposition is painful to watch. I'm Santon's biggest critic. But he's a PL footballer at the very least. Not certain about the other lads if they'll even have Premiership careers. Neither are much younger than Santon. Teasy
Better?, maybe, but I don't think Santons a good enough defender to be a lot better at it than anyone to be honest. The amount of times he'd go missing or put in one of his famous none tackles (tentatively stick his foot in a bit and have the ball nicked past him) had me tearing my hair out when he was a regular starter.
