Whatever happens from here feels distinctly like Pardew & #nufc is entering end game. More on Chronicle Live shortly.

Yes, the team sit a respectable 9th, won yesterday, 2 pts behind media darlings Swansea and and will in all likelihood beat Burnley at St James's the next day

"end game", indeed. "end game" my hole

I agree. This is more like Waiting for Godot than Endgame.

Too high brow for here bro. :)

De Boer's agent says he won't leave during the season.

We're never getting him anyway, but that situation could change very quickly with the right chairman. We offer the right compensation and Ajax would be happy enough and then the right wages and he'd have to take a second look at a premier league opportunity.

His agent kinda said that too. 'He will never leave Ajax during the season. We haven't had any offers though...'

I would like a big clear out of the rest of the staff as well if Pardle leaves. Our attacking play is crap apart from Ayozes own creativity making chances for the team.

Get rid of steve stone and Carver asap...

Some new tactics at corners ... yippee!

Yeah reads like a bit of a certain come and get him plea really. It's very much a weasel worded statement with plenty of room for manoeuvre.

If Pardew ends up staying, what will it mean in terms with his relationship with Ashley seeing as Ashley has backed him when he has had plenty of reasons to sack him.  Surely, it will be fractured beyond repair and that will make Pardew's position untenable.

It has to happen at this point. Even if Palace don't pay for Pardew, Ashley will sack him for this.

Let's hope that it's the bare minimum that comes out of this. Then the next poor run of form will see him gone. In reality it could be that Pardew has done nothing and the approach is only from Palace's side.

I don't think he can stay personally, it's just a case of coming to a compromise over the compensation package. If he stays now, everyone will know his heart isn't really in it, even his arse licking fans on FB.

Yes, Pardew's pretty much nailed his colours to the mast now. He's made his position at Newcastle untenable IMO, even if the Palace job comes to nothing.

He has declared he wants out, even if that means going to a much smaller club in the relegation zone. It's not like he's been linked with Barca, this is Palace FFS. There's no coming back from this for him, the hatred will be even more intense if he stays.

For what though? All he did was miss a press conference

Palace are set up for the way he likes to play like.

Not many forrins. Two quick, tricky wingers for 'magic'. Slow try-hards everywhere else. Just needs a semi-decent striker.

Would never stop laughing if he took them down.

Having the temerity to negotiate with Palace behind his back and present him with an ultimatum?
