That poster just like the shirt is marketing at it's most shameless. Let's use the likeness of Les Ferdinand from of course the team of entertainers that thrilled us as supporters, an era the current regime have been vital in distancing us from. The man that put together that team (KEEGAN !!) was treated like absolute dirt by and caused a brief uncomfortable murmur for the owner so let's use the statue of Sir Bobby, a knight of the realm no-less. From another era of entertainment, that again the current regime have nothing to do with. A man of class and dignity who just happens to be very much in the public eye because it's the World Cup and there will be clips of him on both mainstream channels at every conceivable opportunity. As well as featuring in a critically acclaimed documentary also stirring the emotions. Did anyone say free advertising ?

Being the absolute classless scum that they are we have a Pavel Is A Geordie flag . Nothing like prostituting the memory of a dead man, for the second time in one poster no less, to hock your overpriced tat. Of course Pavel was once again associated with the same era of entertainment as Les. The KEEGAN era REMEMBER ?? The era where one man had the vision to not only save the club we love but to turn it into a powerhouse. One of THE great phases of being a Newcastle United supporter, the era this shirt aims to monetize your nostalgia for, just like Ashley monetized and cashed in on KEEGAN's credibility and affection with supporters. Of course they'd rather we didn't mention KEEGAN, it makes people uncomfortable when you point out that we failed to show the depths of our affection when he was constructively dismissed, when he saw through the sham he realized he'd be helping to uphold if he carried on managing the club. Some held out , most went back.

As if there isn't enough shameless marketing at work they have the Tyne Bridge and the Millennium Bridge but not even nature or nursery rhymes are safe from the corporate quid as The Ashley era tries to tie itself once again to traditions it's done it's level best to exploit and destroy. The traditional Magpies nickname that seems to have been abandoned by the new breed of fan. Let's have more tradition in our big advert. Two for joy, you should be joyous Newcastle customers as you fill the tills, after all what a small price to show your devotion and you can even get a discount at certain store owned by the regime. The only surprise is they'd didn't have the front to put five for silver on there. Enjoy your shirts, every single one sold takes us further away from everything that poster displays. Everything that Mike Ashley will never be a part of.

I can get why people would want a sponsorless one when it was someone as immoral as Wonga but not for these.

I agree, looks kinda weird without the sponsor.

Obviously not the same with fun88 but the blue star brown ale logo is what made the 96 version

Not sure if this has been posted already but here’s the home top for sale without the sponsor. Hopefully they’ll stock the away one soon.

It says in the text under the picture that it includes the Fun88 logo.

Taylor from Taylor and besty posted a pic of shirt from there without the sponsor on it

Don't care about them as a company, but as far as I'm concerned, no sponsor > any sponsor... unless it's something relevant to the city.

 It simply looks better.

Plus, people turning their nose up at £80 including delivery.. It's £70 including delivery from the club shop.

I’d imagine it could be found for £50 in places
