Heard now but always thought that would happen at some point. I'd be fine with it, it's not like we've used the current crest for our entire existence. The uproar and subsequent shit stirring from the the likes of TalkSport will be fun for a while.

Yep, that’s the bubble pattern I’m referring to. That’s on our home shirt (at least definitely on the authentic version). I guess there’s a small chance there’s a different pattern on the standard shirt.

Thought they'd eventually go with the 80s one after testing the water on the 3rd kit. I think it looks good on there.

I’d prefer the round castle badge.

The 80’s (70’s style) one looks good on retro shirts, but I wouldn’t want it as a full time logo.

We've had a few badge changes over the last 60 years so I don't think it's a big deal for most fans. 

 

I would think the club will make a sensible decision about it and at the very least have some sort of discussion with various fan groups and what not before rolling it out.

The one with the castle and the magpie I like. Not as fond of the one with the letters but can imagine they'll go with that one, since it's all about simple and I guess digital friendly badges/logos these days.

Isn't the badge/crest one of those things they have to consult the fans about? There was that charter thing a while ago but I can't remember what was on it exactly.

I think so, it happened after that whole Cardiff City bollocks or around that time, when the owner wanted to change the name, badge, nickname and shirt colours.  

 

They may well have already done some fan studies/research. But if they really wanted to keep it a secret then no doubt those involved would be legally sworn to silence.

Close. The black stripe on the shoulder should extend down the arm.

 

And the side panels have a mixture of black and white stripes on them that follow the body contour.

 

And make the bubbles less obvious. They’re extremely subtle.

 

Then it’s pretty much there.
