It's had a horrific response on here but I'd imagine this forum skews a bit 'middle aged', who adidas probably don't give a fuck about.

universally loved kits this day and age are the classy and very simple kappa kits and retro looking kits. That plays for all age groups.

Would like this sponsor on the dark blue brick kit that was supposed to be the away or 3rd kit.

Someone who would be arsed to make a mockup of that?

Trying to think of something positive to say...

Well... the completely all white back (which is horrendous) is actually better than the front

It gets said every time that people aren't going to buy the new shirt, then do.

Surely they aren't going to sell many of those? That's the worst Newcastle home shirt in my lifetime and possibly forever.

Adidas can't get away with that, people really shouldn't buy it. Terrible.

Given am 37 years old I never understand why people get so worked up about kits… but fuck me that’s rotten like

It just seems impossible to actually knacker up B&W stripes … but adidas know how to give it a right good go.

I still think the misty-eyed stuff re adidas really was down to the 95-97 kit - most of what they produced was utter shite.  ASICS, Umbro, Castore and Puma all produced consistently better kits designs.

Have to say though, I think it’s good they’ve paid tribute to great teams of the past with the design.  In this instance, the heroes of Notts County’s Anglo-Italian cup finalists of 1993/94IMG_0530.webp.165528347a56f8caedbc269eb51db636.webp:

If Daddy G can’t make it look good, sticking a heap of piss poor polyester on Gary Greggs in the Gallowgate will not be a pretty sight.

1999-2000 too. I’m discounting when they stuck ntl on the front. Some of the aways were great too.

Yes, the 99/00 one with the Brown Ale badge was decent, it has to be said

I also really liked the first northern rock home kit.

This is amongst the very worst, but some of the Wonga kits give it a run for its money

Bruno pic is fake like. Can still see last years adidas stripes on his shoulders. I’m calling this strip a smokescreen to delay ghgate.
