Flip
@richard_conway: Breaking: "UEFA Executive Committee expressed its full confidence in UEFA President, Michel Platini, and stands fully behind him." Breaking: "UEFA President will immediately take all necessary steps to appeal the decision of the FIFA Ethics Committee to clear his name." Michel Platini defying Fifa ethics committee, won't stand aside at Uefa. honest to god every single fa, confederation and fifa itself needs to be disbanded and started from scratch Very few out there that are honest organizations. Kimbo
Charlton is more likely to be used as a bung mule, just slip the bung in his pocket and send him to talk to someone at an event.

Guest Howaythetoon
Our (English) game is corrupt, but not in terms of bribes and bungs, its more corrupt in terms of favouring bigger teams, money inequality and refereeing standards etc. Probably one of the reasons we haven't hosted a major tournament since '96, we are too honest, well too honest for FIFA and UEFA anyway. Countries rarely host two tournaments in that space of time. Also England tried to bribe Jack Warner in the 2018 bidding, someone else just bribed him better

Thomson Mouse
erm http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34603517 Manchester City have been reported to Uefa after fans were heard booing the Champions League anthem before their win 2-1 over Sevilla on Wednesday. Match delegate Geir Thorsteinsson, the chairman of the Iceland FA, detailed the incident and disciplinary proceedings have now been opened, with the case set to be heard in November. It is understood Manchester City will not be commenting on the issue. However, the club are expected to defend their fans at the hearing. It is not the first time Manchester City supporters have voiced their anger against Uefa. Last year a City fan group led a protest against European football's governing body after 650 CSKA Moscow supporters gained access to the Khimki Arena for their Champions League game, despite the Russian club being ordered to play it behind closed doors. CSKA were handed the sanction as punishment for a series of offences including racist chanting.

Village Idiot
Barça have been fined for booing the CL anthem and displaying Catalan separatist flags (something that's been happening for decades). I think UEFA are in full passive-aggressive mode now.
