Guest firetotheworks
8 years ffs. Both should be lifetime bans. Hopefully in Blatter's case 8 years is a lifetime ban.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Got to call Andrew Jennings about it this afternoon to have a chat. Be disappointed if he isn't too busy doing cartwheels tbh.

Guest neesy111
They'll both probably get more jail time in america than those bans.
Stifler
Isn't this only for 1 incident as well? Just wait until the FBI have finished their investigation and the others have finished throwing them under the bus. The trouble is that there is plenty more shady characters in FIFA ready to replace them. Surely this also means Platini should be banned from UEFA as well? Yes, he's banned from all football activity.
merlin
And to think that Roland Rat(who runs the FA)told a Committee of MPs that the FA were going to back Platini as Blatter's replacement. Then again - that would be just Dyke's style...what a useless bunch of brown-nosing creeps as well as being corrupt.

Be disappointed if he isn't too busy doing cartwheels tbh. Thank him on behalf of football fans Just spoken to him. I did actually thank him, which he seemed to appreciate. He reckons the Swiss police have another 2TB of data to go through, which is when it'll be "curtains" for Blatter. Didn't realise til he told me that he's actually had a stroke since he made his last Panorama
Mattoon
I think it's fair to say we've seen the last of this geriatric wannabe mobster now. 8 years should see him off as it is, hopefully when it's all finished he'll spend the rest of his natural behind bars. Village Idiot
The bad news is that the president of the Spanish FA is now acting president of UEFA. Massive crock.

timeEd32
Good to see progress being made... Grant Wahl @GrantWahl CONMEBOL, which had 3 straight presidents indicted, elects right-hand man of 3rd indictee as new president in a 1-candidate election. Village Idiot
Looks like the Spanish FA president will get done for a small favor he made to two Segunda B clubs (he processed their licenses even though they were financially nonviable). It will be like getting Capone for failing to pay his taxes, but I'll take that.

jdckelly
“The appeal committee determined that some strong mitigating factors for Mr Platini and Mr Blatter were not taken into account when establishing the sanction. In this sense, amongst others, the appeal committee considered that Mr Platini’s and Mr Blatter’s activities and the services they had rendered to Fifa, Uefa and football in general over the years should deserve appropriate recognition as a mitigating factor.” good lord FIFA needs to be scrapped and started again
