Fucking angers me all this shit with players wanting to live in London. Have a career playing the game you love and you can comfortably retire at 35 living wherever the hell you like.

Good point

Problem is...most players are mince.

Live somewhere you want to your whole life or move to somewhere you don't for 5 years and then move back. Difficult decision.

Thing is tho it's not like newcastle are better than all the London clubs so if he does want to stay in London it's not like he's having to go to a lesser club to do that

Really hope QPR sink like a stone and never return.

They're so badly run. Since that Remy business man, such a disaster of a club.

They're actually the polar opposite to us. One club living well beyond their means and another generating huge turnover but refuses to spend it.

Not really. We don't generate as much revenue as we should.

I can't remember what happened with Remy (fernandes bullshit and all that) however did he join them in the summer and have a full season there? or was it Jan window and then fuck off after only 6 months? this is the problem with players nowadays, especially those from the continent, the don't really give a toss apart from the biggest wages. we saw this years ago in italy, players would move clubs after one season, even crossing over from Milan to Inter without a care in the world.

Jesus, we arent taking this £25 million as Gospel are we?

People expecting us to spend much more than that will be in for disappointment.

Not really, they spent more than that last year.

Only if you completely ignore the minor issue of £30m coming in.......

Yep the January then signed for us on loan that summer after mugging us off five months earlier! I'd have him back any day mind!

Remy can take a running jump off Earth's highest peak IMO.

His subsequently broken, fetid re-animated carcass would still get more minutes on the pitch over a season than De Jong.

The net spend wasn't anywhere near that which is what we're talking about here.

 How could it be a £25m transfer fund without working on net spend?

Net profit last year. Didn't spend a penny.

the original comment was if we spend 15mil on Austin we'll only have 10million left. that's what I was disagreeing with.

Just don't see how our 'warchest' can be £25m. If that's true, we're Championship bound. We need 10 players FFS.

We need to spend more than £25m, but we'll also never get 10 players.

Totally. We need to spend c.£100m and need seven proven players. That would be doable with the Sky money, prize money, £30m in the bank, transfer surplus, etc. but someone carlessly left the cash lying about and it just disappeared. So that won't be happening either.

Almost resigned now to us scraping around - yet again - in the bargain bucket in the final week of the window, and unearthing more gems like Riviere.
