You know, as much as this sucks. It feels so refreshing to go out of a major tournament with a bit of pride and respect for the team. First time we have been able to say that and a couple of decades.

Lot of time for Gareth like; agree with the posters that said he doesn't always look like he knows how to change a game at the minute but he's a class act and I'm pleased he's in charge

In two years we should have a good core. However we really need one or two spectacular players in midfield and attack to emerge. Sterling might come of age but at the minute there's just not enough star quality and too many similar players.

What like a Lampard and a Gerrard? ...Or maybe a Beckham and a Michael Owen????

The golden generation

Pickford must be close to number one in the world just now ?

2nd tier imo.

Don't agree, i think he'll be playing for a champions league club in a year.

Agree, doesn’t stop him being 2nd tier.

1st tier - Neuer, De Gea, Cortouis, Oblak, Lloris

2nd tier - Pickford, Donnarruma, Elliot, etc.

Lacked midfielders to compete in a higher quality game over time. If we could’ve got them in the first half we’d have won it, but I’m not sure the players are there to do what was needed.

Was surprised when he brought Dier on, thought it should’ve been Loftus Cheek. Our weakness of having a gulf between defence and attack came to the fore again.

Great campaign though, nothing to be ashamed of.

They were our golden generation, all of them at their peak would walk in to this team, however all of them were egotistical petulant cunts who couldn’t drop team loyalty to get the job done.

Hope it pisses them right off an inferior set of players went further than any of them did. Fucking wankers.

The truth is probably somewhere in between these two OTT statements imo. [emoji38]

'keeper of the tournament so far for me. Lloris if he has a great final.

Don't compare to the squads we had early to mid 90s imo
