You don't see what Rice brings? Lad is one of the best midfielders in the world (second only to Rodri in the PL IMO) and has probably the best set piece delivery in the world right now.

I often feel that I'd like to see more from him. Like this evening, I can't recall him making any particularly noteworthy contribution. Seeing as he's a fixture in the England team, that's disappointing.

I sort of get the point but we are stacked in the midfield department not so much in the CB department.

BDB is playing for a top 6 (we hope) champions league side. "Hendo" fucked off out to Saudi and has done nothing of note to play his way back into the England setup.

If its the experience and wisdom surely we have enough big game players to not need that sort of excuse.

Sorry to pop up again, but for one reason or another, I haven't watched many England games recently.

Unlike many England sides, we really looked like a team, and not a collection of individuals. Anderson has solved that midfield anchor position and a lot stems from that.

I think Bellingham and Rice are competing for one position now. I can see why Tuchel isn't keen on Bellingham because a lot of ego goes into his England performances and he tries to win games on his own. Having said that, he's a major talent and I hope that this issue can be sorted.

We have two very talented and creative players in Rogers and Eze, but it looks like Tuchel feels he can only play one at a time. I'd like to see him experiment with both and see what happens. If we're going to beat the best sides, I think our performance still needs to go up a notch.

Was just reading the price for tickets to the World Cup games

Quote

General admission tickets are being split into four categories, with those for the first match in the USA costing between $560 (£417) and $2,235 (£1,662).

That's ridiculous if true

Wasn’t he good for Ajax and now Brentford? I thought that was the received wisdom.

Everton on the defensive after Lee Dixon last night questioned why Pickford isn't at a 'big' club

I see Everton have more twitter followers than us mind.

Ironically, this is small-time as fuck

Yeah I live near one of the stadiums so I was planning to go to a game, but tickets for a random group game were around $2000 so fuuuuck that.

Aye, Pickford was 1 when Everton last won a trophy. If he's happy at Everton then fair play, but definitely think he'd be number 1 at Chelsea, Man U, Spurs or even here.

Tbf we've only just broke a canny duck

Honestly is is a bit strange that England's undisputed number 1 has been playing the prime of his career in a bottom half team, without any serious links to him moving. Everton are obviously a big historic club but they've been struggling for years and the mood around the club seemed pretty awful, at least until this year. Still, if he's happy there then fair play. I imagine if he wasn't happy there'd have been a few links pop up by now.

He's more chance in the next 3-5 years of winning things and playing CL football with a move though. If he's happy though, he's still at a great club.

Plus he's 31 now. Everton is probably as big a club as he's going to get. His window was probably about 3-5 years ago to land a really big move.

Pickford’s a top keeper, one of the best.

Maybe him being a bit mental has affected his brand a bit.

Brilliant keeper. Also noticed the last couple of seasons he seems to enjoy playing up here against us rather than him letting the rivalry get under his skin like a few years ago. He was superb in the 1-1 up here with them a couple of seasons ago in particular. I was sat just behind him in the Gallowgate and he was non-stop with his defence, shouting over at Dyche with things he was noticing. Was fascinating watching him.
