He plays like he hasn't got a care in the world, which when you're in our position is completely unsuitable. He just looks like a spineless coward and has done for the entirety of his away performances and more recently his home performances too. Clearly not s***, but he's got zero fight in him.

I noticed this today, when he has space he's never in a hurry to run with the ball for example.

Never takes anyone on despite being a very good dribbler with a bit of pace. Just constantly plays within himself.

Saw this guy in the number 10 position and knew we were in trouble. Made worse by the fact that Cisse started too, and he cannot hold the ball up. Essentially started the game with two invisible men upfront.

Gini is so rubbish. Has done nothing from that position for ages now. Damaged our ability to build up play time and time again. Terribly limited player and a big time coward.

Can fuck off essentially, coward.

Of course the fault is with us for signing players who we need to instantly settle in for us to stay up when in fact it may take a while. However gone past thinking he needs to be used to it, is just a coward.

Diabolical today, probably his most anonymous display and that's saying something. Looked a quality player for about 5 games earlier in the season and has been woeful since. Hardly surprising we're in this mess with him, Sissoko and Colback playing most of the season in midfield.

Another one I will gladly see the back of when we're down. Talent is there but has the heart the size of a garden pea!

Nothing to do with formations or positions, this fucker actively hides from the ball, never shows for a teammate and is the personification of everything that is wrong with top level football today.

Hopefully Rafa saw him for what he is today, and we've seen the last of him playing for the club. Disgraceful, cowardly bastard!

He's potentially one of our best players by a mile, but he's already decided he would rather be somewhere else. What happened to all those late runs which resulted in headers or shots on goal?

Not sure about the hiding/ cowardice, more he is like a little lad with stabilizers on his wee bike and needs a push down the lane

There is that aspect, but then Michael Owen scored headers despite being a wee lad and Gini is similar. I just don't think we are using him right.

He's been used in loads of different way and has eventually reverted to anonymity in all of them

This is my line of thinking as well. Arrived from a club with a winning mentality. Part of an international set-up with the highest standards & expectations in place......... and then thrust into the demotivating forcefield that is Sports Direct United with it's losing culture & amateurish set-up. It's quite a culture shock. As you allude to the workrate off the ball is non-existent now. Such a slick & talented footballer but the reality is he mmentally checked out a while ago.

Probably this, and in this case both he and Sissoko should have been dropped ages ago and replaced by...Oh, wait..

Think this attitude gives the players an easy cop out. He's come to what is supposedly the best league in the world where players from countries such as Holland dream of playing. He will have received a hefty pay rise on his arrival and plays in front of 50k in one of Europe's best stadiums. Surely if he had a single ounce of professional pride he would still perform for himself and his team mates if nothing else. He's no more than a coward, same as Sissoko, Coloccini, Tiote etc. The squad is littered with them, 10 or 11 of them have cried off with injuries and those that go out on the pitch haven't tried a leg for just about the entire season.

The much fabled recruitment policy has been completely blown to bits this season. How Carr is still in employment is anyone's guess. He should be sat in a nursing home somewhere, not head of recruitment at a Premier League football club.

This.

Far too many people making excuses for the players.
