AyeDubbleYoo
Got a feeling he could have a big role to play this season. Surely it won't take much for him to get ahead of Taylor and Williamson.
Nobody
Want to see him and Dummett be our starting CB pairing unless we sign someone. Can't be fucked with the Championship leftovers any more, desperately need to change things up there.

Can't be fucked with the Championship leftovers any more, desperately need to change things up there. We desperately need a leader to partner either this kid or Dummy. Preferably not Shawcross
Ronaldo
As if we could/would afford Shawcross.
r0cafella
As if we could/would afford Shawcross. Good, for a lot of posters he'd be the biggest let down since Owen
McCormick
Shawcross is a very good premier league centre-back and exactly the kind of player we need right now.
Mole_Toonfan
Shawcross is a very good premier league centre-back and exactly the kind of player we need right now. Says who? if he was very good he wouldn't still be at Stoke.
Guest chopey
I think this guy will take over as our bench center half since carver basically made Williamson UN unsellable
Unbelievable
Considering he wasn't apparently a regular at Forest anyway I would be surprised if he would be a starting centre back already. Better to ease him in over the next season imo.
Ronaldo
Shawcross is a very good premier league centre-back and exactly the kind of player we need right now. Says who? if he was very good he wouldn't still be at Stoke. He's the best player and captain for the 9th best team in the league. He's not really a top 4 player so is there any real incentive/opportunity for him to leave when he'd cost close over £15m? Shawcross is the best CB we could hope to attract and exactly what our defence and team as a whole needs. As said, though, he'd cost too much for us to be in for him. Tiresias
Shawcross doesn't half love a red but he is a good CB and would be a good signing for us. Don't think we will though, english premium and all will cost more than we will pay

So by that logic, the season we finished 5th, Colo was the best player and captain of the 5th best team in the league? Shawcross isn't very good, ana you like bigging him up, but howay. Ronaldo
Colo's the senior defender in a team that virtually concedes more goals than any other PL team. Shawcross is the senior defender in a team that concedes fewer goals than the vast majority of the PL. At worst he's a very solid CB.

Well, Colo was outstanding that season.

It's not like we couldn't afford him though if we really thought he is what we need. We just paid the best part of £15 for a midfielder and you could argue centre back is a more crucial position. ponsaelius
Shawcross is overrated and a proper twat to boot. 1 England cap considering the state of the current defence shows he's really not all that.
Ronaldo
It shows Hodgson doesn't rate him at international level. It means absolutely fucking nothing to a club playing shit like Coloccini, Williamson and Taylor. So he's not very good then, noted. What's noted is that you're a bit of fool who clearly can't comprehend that consistently stopping goals going in generally leads to more points. Robbo
Huth's already been replaced with Muniesa and Wollscheid. They've got no reason to sell though.
