Crystal Palace v Newcastle United - Saturday 28th November 3pm Kick-Ugh.

Recommended Posts

After not much deliberation I think I'd play with all 3 central midfielders under strict instruction to get forward as rarely as possible.

Blobby

Janmaat - Mbemba - Lascelles - Dumshit

Thauvin - Sissoko - Anita - Wijnaldum - Perez

Mitrovic

Still think we'll get beat with 12 players on the pitch.

Going to this too now, home end, with some Palace bods. :undecided:

Where are people heading for pre match booze? :D

Wherever, and with whoever, I fear you may benefit from getting there early and drinking lots. Personally, find the (sadly realistic) thought of losing at the Vulgarian's Parvenu, nauseating.

We will beat these if we just maintain some composure.

Composure!!!

We could maybe start by trying to defend, looking like we give a shit, appearing to being actually 'coached' by this seemingly 'wonderful coach' we have as a manager, passing to each other, trying to attack, holding the ball up to releive pressure, shooting at the oppositions goal (apparently it is allowed), looking organised, getting some width, crossing the ball to our talented big lad up front.............

Yeah though 'composure' will see us through....

At least against Palace we should have some decent possession. Pardew likes to sit back and try to hit on the counter and that should suit our players who tend to fall apart against the high pressure teams. This might be similar to the Stoke game where we actually dominated for 90 mins.

Cisse in the papers 'sharing fans frustration'. Reckon rolling him out to do this interview means he's starting on Saturday

I hate the way these cowards given these empty, meaningless, token interviews. As if he gives a shit man, rather be in the casino or trying to add to his collection of wives.

Agree, but the fact it is Cisse spouting rubbish will be a club decision, and leads to him starting

Yeah, because that's all that's missing.

Palace are woeful at home. Keep it tight and hope for a bit of magic isn't working at all. They never looked like scoring against Sunderland. The Sunderland CB's are better in the air than our lot but that's all they had to deal with. They ended up throwing it away.

The team isn't offering the crowd anything. If we can keep them quiet for an hour, Pardew will try and push forward and we should be able to hit them on the counter.

If we can defend set pieces well we should get a result. I think Pardew is on the verge of his first real bad run at Palace.
