Caller on Total Sport saying the owner isn't to blame. :(

There's too many lost causes in our support. Nothing will ever change because some of them aren't capable of thinking logical thoughts. Morons.

Can anyone defend Graham Carr?  He's built a shit shower of a team.

It's actually extremely easy to defend Carr. He's constantly expected to mine exactly the same resource for the same reason time and time again. He's found at least three teams to build within the space of 4 years, expected to find star players at zero cost, to keep us in one of the toughest, most competitive leagues in Europe without any concern for team cohesion or success beyond resale value. Then they're handed over to the likes of Alan Pardew and Steve McClaren to either not play them or cast them aside. I still think he's done well in the frankly ridiculous circumstances to even find players that cheaply in the leagues he's scoured. Our policy is transparent and pathetic. One hand is fighting the other. He got us HBA, Cabaye, Ba, Debuchy, Sissoko, Remy, Yanga Mbiwa, Santon. All of which were cast aside, sold for profit or failed to develop under a shit manager. I blame the system rather than him. You can't keep scouring the same source using the same method, with the same requirements and expect players like HBA and Cabaye every time.

No, he's built a shite team and the proof of it is on the pitch.

...that's the point, this is the now the third or fourth team he's been asked to build a team, with the same ridiculous remit. Cheap, young, high quality, high resale value, doesn't matter what position they play, doesn't matter how they fit in with the other players, just make money for Ashley. Players within that narrow spectrum are rare, especially when it's the third or fourth time he's scouring the same source because the players that he did find within the remit have been ostracised by a shit manager and/or sold on.

The players within that remit now are nothing on the ones he got the first time around. You can't keep using the same method and expecting players like Cabaye and Ben Arfa.

Our player turnover has been fine that last 2 years.

I'd have the fuckers in training from 7am to 9pm every day this week, just to drill something into them.

Yes exhaustion will mean we lose against Liverpool, but in the long run we learn something.

I'd have them in for 3 hours or so tonight as soon as they go off the plane as well.

Probably not, you just fine then (use it as a way of sacking the deadwood without compensating them) and drop them if they don't.
