Consortium of one
An early yellow for Shelvey gives him an excuse to loaf for the rest of the game.
Hanshithispantz
Was foaming when Trippier walked away Made me look a mug today tbf Shelvey, been one of our better players. Edited January 22, 2022 by Hanshithispantz

Klaus
It was a canny crap free kick tbh. Keeper shouldn't have let that in, regardless of the runners coming across him

Superior Acuña
Fair play to the guy. He can be lazy and all that, but where we are, til we're better, I think he's important, like he was under Rafa in the Championship.
Guest HTT II
Arguably his best performance for us? I was screaming for Trippier to take it…
toontownman
After seeing a bit of the old shelvey last match he was back to impress the new manager mode again today. We all know he has it when he applies himself. He is his own worst enemy and it's always a cry wolf case of making us think when is he going to revert back to being half arsed again. Hopefully not until the summer and he helps keep us up in the meantime.
Sandrotastico
Aside from the Goal, one of his best performances, covered every inch of the pitch and clearly fought hard to hold the lead. Great performance and I'm not his biggest fan. You could put 4-5 up there with him - I thought Schar was fantastic. We have a lot of limited players but most of them leave everything on the pitch every week.
joeyt
Don't particularly want to criticise the match winner today but did anyone else see his attemptto take the knee before kick off? He was too lazy to even get that right

Fantail Breeze
He’s an odd one. He plays like he doesn’t give a shit, but you see his reaction when he scored today and he clearly does.
huss9
him and his family absolutely love it up here and he;s desperate to do well for the club. just wish he'd show it a lot more often on the pitch. howe is getting a bit of a tune out of him. Sandrotastico
I reckon he lacks self believe and confidence in himself tbh. Maybe to do with his looks and the shit he gets on that front. As someone said above he clearly cares but he's a complex character no doubt. Just glad Howe has him fired up and playing with respect for the shirt, he's covering the ground and putting 100% in. r0cafella
Glad he got us the winner but he’s not very good and needs upgrading mind.
Thiago
I think in a team that truly dominated the ball he'd be a handy player - I always remember Southampton away last year, when we were a man up, he controlled that game like it was a night at the Power League. He'll always have these moments in him, even if the GK has to take the blame somewhat, but it's a case of consistency.
LRD
He disappears in too many games for him to be considered useful. Once we secure survival and get to the summer, would like to see him replaced.
Pilko
Much more useful since Lard Arse fucked off, in that he seems to be grafting harder and has toned down the needless Hollywood passes. Still, I can't stand him, after years of unreliable, lazy, moody, petulant performances and 1 good game in 12 if you're lucky. His limitations are ten fold and whilst he's a necessary evil at the moment cos he's the only fucker who can pass in centre midfield, I can't wait til we ship him out and upgrade. Good point re: Hollywood balls. There's a case to be made that giving him a degree of structure is good for him as it channels his key skill.
Superior Acuña
He's self-deprecating about the fk in the interview I heard - he says 'the keeper chucked that one in for us', which I'm not sure the keeper will appreciate.
Conjo
The keeper gifted us the goal though. Imagine if that FK was against us, and the comments on here if it was Darlow that let that one in
Thiago
Honestly, given the penalty we should have had, we were due that bit of luck.
