Hanshithispantz
Colback is a tidy footballer who rarely gives the ball away. He is an excellent link between defence and attack and has the sort of athletic ability every midfielder needs press and harangue the opposition. god man, he's the link between Coloccini and Mbemba. SEMTEX
I can confirm, before his pre-photo change of clothes in the bogs, Andros Townsend was wearing: a brown suit jacket "man jeggings" a spotted hanky in his top pocket winkle picker shoes This concludes my ITK. Wullie
That colback article is crazy n fact, those who have mocked Hodgson’s decision are probably the sort of ignorant armchair fans who decided Owen Hargreaves wasn’t good enough to play for England before the 2006 World Cup, even though he was a regular in the Bayern Munich side that had won the European Cup a few years earlier. How is that even comparable "probably the sort of ignorant armchair fans who decided Jack Colback wasn’t good enough to play for England before the 2016 Euros, even though he was a regular in the Newcastle and Sunderland sides that had narrowly avoided relegation for five consecutive seasons." Imagine if that was the sentence.

TRon
Colback is a tidy footballer who rarely gives the ball away. He is an excellent link between defence and attack and has the sort of athletic ability every midfielder needs press and harangue the opposition. When we signed Colback I wasn't as averse to it as a lot of our fans because mostly the criticisms revolved around his celebrations against us as a mackem player. But after watching a few games I did say he would never be picked for England again, purely because he lacked any sort of athleticism to make him useful in any area of the pitch unless you were playing against 9 men. Deuce
You're not convinced a man with 10 caps for England is a better player than Obertan? Gabriel Obertan. It's literally impossible that he isn't. Townsend 80 apps 6 goals 6 assists Obertan 84 apps 4 goals 10 assists Obertan is complete dog shit obvs, but stats wise he's running him close like Obertan doing his for an arguably shitter team as well. Yet we all know Townsend is a better player. Proof, if it was ever needed, that stats are dink. Naw, I wouldn't say that. For instance, your opinions are derived from deep within your rectum 64.4% of the time (+/- 2% margin of error.)

Teasy
All competitions since Obertan arrived in England: Obertan: 5988 minutes played (66 full games) Goals - 4 Assists - 14 Townsend: 5915 minutes played (65 full games) Goals - 11 Assists - 15 Not great for either, but until I see Townsend I'll assume he's better than Obertan anyway, he's got to be

Teasy
Nowt wrong with looking at stats as a guideline if you have little knowledge of a player. Just needs to be tempered with the knowledge that they are only a guideline and far from definitive.
