Yorkie
He'd piss this league. On January 1st I might have preferred us to get somebody who didn't fuck us off in the summer, but given the state of our recruitment this month I'd take him back. JP
Would be a huge coup. Several journos saying it's unlikely however. Townsend liking the tweet is a strange one, Palace fans be even more on his back? Hopefully we beat Rotherham, Palace lose at the weekend and he sees the light before the end of the window! Lowndsy
The palace fans are fuming that he liked that tweet
madras
Don't think it's a goer now but think he'd jump at the chance should we go up in the summer.

ponsaelius
I'd be absolutely stunned if this happened, tbh.
Guest firetotheworks
As Hans put it, I can't be arsed to HATE Andros Townsend like. He was an obvious stupid idiot going off to Palace and that was as obvious then as it is now. I wouldn't be arsed if he didn't come back, but it would be a big boost for our promotion, and that's more important to me than disloyalty in a game where loyalty doesn't exist anyway. Leazes_End_Mag
Can't see this happening at all but he's the exact type of signing who would guarantee us promotion.
Dave
If there's any chance of this happening, hopefully it's just a loan so we can fuck him back off to Allardyce and Palace's bench when we go up.
Heron
I'd have him back like. Would smash this league and seal promotion. Cannot blame the lad for leaving in the summer, he had no ties to us really. Just looking to progress his career and picked short term gain over long term stability, and better coaching at that. Idiot. Pardew over Rafa.

I'd fancy that as well, seems too big a gamble for Allardyce to ship him out now though.
Andy84
We won't be able to buy him so it would be a loan, it just seems impossible. He starts games for Palace who are looking to strengthen their squad, not weaken it. Loaning Townsend to us this window seems completely implausible, won't happen. nemtizz
What a fickle piece of smegma. Can't see it happening and would prefer him to rot at Palace, but Gouffran and Ritchie...
toontownman
I'd welcome him back tbh. The whole thing has been an absolute embarrassment for him. Tbh. He did his work there. Get pardew fired, play like shit then return to us for 3/4m profit in our bank. He was the one player I didn't want to lose. Definitely thought fuck him when he left but I'm all for second chances. Just not the umpteenth colback gets in the starting line up.
Chicane
Would definitely take him back. Sure it's pretty shit that he bailed after six months to sign for an ALAN PARDEW team, but eh, he'd be a great signing. Most footballers these days are cunts anyway and as it goes he's only a mild cunt.
Joe_F
Taking some horrendous stick on the #cpfc timeline. Could actually see this happening.

madras
The blokes probably only liked it to show he liked it here, possibly not that he wants to come back, like "thanks for wanting me back" type thing.
Stottie
I'd definitely take him back. He came across very well while here, certainly well enough to think he'd know the potential consequences of him liking that tweet, so it could be a good sign. Fathead likes his own players, look how many he signed in his short stint here, and Palace spent 50M in the summer so there mightn't be much cash for him to get them. That could be a factor too. This. He's probably just liked it because it's about him. Would have him back though fwiw.
triggs
Mixed feelings. Horrible behaviour from the little twerp in the summer, but promotion.... Horrible behaviour is like Sissoko's antics. Townsend was nowt like that. I'd take him back if the price is right. Obviously he's nowhere near Sissoko levels of unadulterated evil but he did do a bit of a Delph in the summer, claiming he was stopping after the relegation. It's true that his commitment on the pitch could never be questioned. You'd have Moussa back at this point
Altamullan
I get the draw of staying a Premier League player and living close to home/friends the anonymity of London etc. He wasn't here long enough to build any kind of life. I felt it was a bad decision for him professionally to go to Palace, and bad for us to lose him. He had put in some good performances with glimpses of the exceptional. I think it would have been great for Andros to have a team rely on him, for once. Whilst he's missed that boat, he would scare the s*** out of most Championship defenders and really help breakdown the 'everybody and their granny behind the ball' tactics we're regularly facing. Come back and show everyone what you can do if given the chance.

There's a Moussaka joke in their somewhere, but I've disgusted myself too much with that imagery to think...
Shush
If we can get him back on loan for rest of season that would be great. Obviously don't like how he left, but he could be difference between automatic promotion spot or not. There's too much at stake to be precious about him coming back.
