I doubt Fat Sam is being let anywhere near the transfer dealings at Palace.

His transfer dealings kept Sunderland up last season

This narrative is woeful.

When he joined they were 2 points from safety. They stayed up, with 2 points. He gave them a decisive but marginal boost.

Sam Allardyce's career has seen him spend lots of money on transfers/wages, staying up in the PL and rarely pushing the top 8.

The only managers in recent memory that have been allowed to do that for several clubs are Bruce & Pardew.

Kone, Khazri and Kirchoff played a large part in them getting safety like. Defoe was obviously the main reason but those 3 players played a large role in them staying up and I'm not sure how anyone can argue otherwise.

They had a CB problem and addressed it with signing Kone while we didn't bring in a CB

Are you sure? They have just wasted £14M on Patrick van Aan Holt.

He can certainly name the players in and out - but I doubt, as one of potentially few measure used to ensure the fat c*** is not taking advantage of them, he is updated on the situations timely and I would say some info is even withheld back.

Unless Palace are really stupid.

Ok. But he's choosing players. Aware that there's financial limits at the club he's approved £25m for the pair. I like PVA though.

Yes, I have already mentioned that.

Being able to choose the players doesn't contradict the notion that he is possibility limited from the processes of a transfer.

I feel quite positive that the move will go through.

They must be quite close to their 25 man limit with Schlupp and PVA signing, plus you know Allardyce will probably hoy some money on a few more.

Same here. Alalrdyce signing players has to make this deal more likely to go through in this window. They will have to ship some players out, it would probably already have happened if it was a straight up cash deal rather than a loan.

Yep - when he had Okocha and Djorkaeff they were earning very good money. In a short period of time he spent a lot of money at Wham and Sunderland.

Honestly can't bring myself to care about this either way. Would be nice to get him, but meh if not.

Our strength in depth doesn't allow us to be 'meh' about this imo. Without another 2-3 bodies, we're going to need to be pretty lucky with injuries to be consistent enough to win this league.

Not that I want us to bend over backwards for Andros Townsend like. Although my assumption is that we're most likely the ones playing "hardball" aka "being cunts".

I would really like us to sign him but I don't think we will. Allardyce/Palace clearly want the dollar but we'll blatantly stick, rather than twist. They're not going to sanction overpayment on players when promotion is all but achieved.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone else comes in for him and we get QPR'd/Remy'd. Palace clearly want to sell, it doesn't just have to be to us.

Guest Howaythetoon

Can't believe people are indifferent, like. We f***ing start Gouffran. Sammy Ameobi actually came on for us the other day.

Howay Ron, the way he left and to Palace and Pardew of all clubs and people...

He's not only an idiot, he obviously didn't buy in to the club and Rafa otherwise he would have stayed. He would have torn this league up, established himself as a real cult hero here and in Rafa had a manager who would have improved every aspect of his game to the point where he would develop into a top-class player. He gave all that up because he's a thick cunt with no ounce of respect for his career. Its all about the now for players like him, instant money, glory and fame. Again he can fuck off and I actually rate the player and have done for a number of years now. On his day he's a huge threat and a very good player.

Just don't like him much any more, and we will get promoted anyway.

Same, but I'd take him if we got offered. I would regard a move for him the same as with Remy, basically a marriage of convenience. I don't expect any loyalty from him after he jumped ship, but then we don't need to give any back. Just use him while he's here then get someone better.
