madras
Would not shock me if the club were pushing this Why ? Would not surprtise me if the club had very little control over this.
Ikon
Fuck off if true! Makes me want to see Pardew die more than once!!! Why would he go there of all places if he does.
Leazes_End_Mag
Said weeks ago that there's many reasons he'd go there and people doubted it. Awful news if true.
nemtizz
Why would L'equipe know before anyone else?
Lush Vlad
Well.... I stuck £25 on him staying yesterday at 7/2. Missed the 9/2 and it's now 9/4. I honestly thought he would stay and was pretty confident of this (obviously). I know he could reject the move, despite the clause being met. But it doesn't look good. I really should stay away from football betting. I have never made any decent money off of it. The only half decent one I remember getting right. Was McClaren next manager to go, at 16/1. sugoinufc
CP of all places. He should stay or go somewhere else.
Eddy Chibas
*Fucked Ben Arfa *Fucked Aarons' hamstring *Left us with Colback *Definitely in the running to pinch our brightest spark in attack Pardoo is the gift which keeps on giving. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/clashofclans/images/c/cf/Trollface.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130617231018
Mole_Toonfan
Why would L'equipe know before anyone else? They wouldn't and they haven't been reliable for a long time, i mean it might happen but there's nothing to suggest it's happening right now.
TRon
I find it hard to believe he'd go to Palace after being at Spurs and Newcastle. I'll say nowt until there's some concrete evidence.
Scotty66
The Mirror reported on June 4th that Palace were interested and wanted to activate his release clause. On June 6th they reported that Townsend had committed to stay here. Also his father I think said he wanted to stay with us? Would be shocked to see him leave, couldn't blame him as he's far too good for the Championship but he just seems one of those players that has a heart. Only trouble really is if the new England manager refuses to pick anyone outside of the Premier League, which, after last night is idiotic in itself. Guest chopey
If I was advising him I would say wait till christmas and if we are doing shite then you'll get your move , but if we are ripping the championship up there wont be a better place to play football than at St Jame's park. Wallsendmag
He comes across as a lad who wants to play football first and foremost which is the reason he left a club going for the title for a club fighting relegation. With that sort of attitude I'd be gobsmacked if he left a club managed by Rafael Benitez to join one managed by Alan Pardew. Stranger things have happened but I'd be surprised and disappointed if it comes off.
Kanj
He needs to stay under the tutelage of Rafa and get to playing constant football and being one of the main men here.
Odear
Unlike most footballers, Townsend seems to have a brain. Whatever he does he will do for the right reasons, next season is a nothing really in terms of International football, so he could easily afford a season below.. he'll weigh this up. I'd like the lad to stay as i think he'd tear it up this season but ultimately, this club is now gonna be going places.. so i'm not gonna get bothered by who's staying or going in the short term. Mattoon
He'd be a fool to leave given what's happening here at the moment and to go to a side like Palace? After last season's debacle! Non starter.
SEMTEX
London is his home though. I wouldn't be surprised if he took the move. There's really no reason to stay beyond Rafa and whatever affinity for the area he has garnered after 6 months of shiteball.
Andy84
You have to hope he will give it until January and assess it then, if we are looking good then he will stay on

There's really no reason to stay beyond Rafa and whatever affinity for the area he has garnered after 6 months of shiteball. London was the same home when he was sat on the bench watching his career go down the pan. Why would an ambitious footballer give up the chance of potential glory at a great club to sign for poxy little club like Palace? If he did he's not the person I thought he was, but I reckon it's just press speculation and so there's no point in making any judgements yet. jdckelly
London factor, premier league factor, much better chance of getting into england squad if he's at a prem club and a probable wage rise as well, wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see him move. I'll be surprised if he's still here come the end of the window.

SEMTEX
Would also serve as a significantly better shop window for a potential move to a non-shit club.
