Saido Berahino stays at West Brom

BREAKING: Reports that Newcastle have now upped their #Berahino bid to £24m. But #WBA adamant they won't sell to #NUFC . Stoke tho? Maybe...

Would they sell for less to Stoke? Seems a bit mad. Can't see Stoke spending that much.

If that's the case (and I don't believe it for one second that they won't accept Newcastles but they will Stoke) then we should say you have until 12 tonight then theoffer is withdrawn.

Assuming we have Doumbia and considering we have spent quite a lot already, I see no reason why we would be bidding for him if we had no indication they would be willing to sell to us.

Obviously there is a lot of talk on here about fake bids, or " we tried" but in this instance it doesn't fit. We must have had positive signs from both WBA and Berahino.

Next step, Berahino puts in a 'transfer request', the bid is accepted, and then it looks like West Brom had their hand forced by the player.

Where have I heard this before?

Think its a certainty that he will end up at Stoke.

Certainty?

If he were to leave tomorrow that is. Could of worded it a lot better.

Can't see it sorry no club is going to accept an offer less than another one and also one where the whole cash is paid upfront compared to part payments.

They contradict themselves in the same artice - rejected a bid of 21 million from Stoke and then prepared to accept bids over 20 million from other clubs as long as it's not Newcastle.

They could depending on size of the difference in financial profit.

It may seem unlikely now but WBA could see Berahino to us and he scores the goals to drag us away from danger and every other team gets results too, meaning WBA could be dragged into a relegation battle.

They wouldnt have that fear by selling to Stoke or Spurs.

How is the team going to line up if we sign him and Doumbia?

Elliot

Dummett

Saivet

Colback - Shelvey

Wijnaldum

Sissoko - Berahino - Mitrovic - Doumbia - Townsend

Colback?

Thought you (/everyone) would be used to him being the first name on the teamsheet. We're not getting rid of him like :anguish:

Townsend arriving signals the end of any chance Ayoze has of starting games for the foreseeable.  You guys are in for a shock
