xLiaaamx
They're doing it regardless of relegation. It's not just cost cutting because they're going down.
sleazy
i think its in case of relegation, by the time the compulsory negotiation period is over they will know their league status.

bhoywhonder
Just been reminded of this from a few weeks back Fascinating video. Decky
Was in Sunderland for their game against Southampton a few weeks ago. Their stadium really is dreadful and the staff are hopeless. Now that's stuff that can be changed but what about the town? Do they genuinely think it's better than Newcastle? I've taken loads of friends and family to Newcastle and they think its a great town, I've taken most to Sunderland as well for various reasons and not one didn't think it was a shit hole. Wallsendmag
Whenever the mackems are at home there's always loads of the opposition supporters drinking in Newcastle and then getting the Metro through to the village of the dammed at the last minute then back into Newcastle after the match. It's such an unwelcoming and pointless place for anyone from outside of there to visit. Unless you're unfortunate enough to live there it's just one of those places that you just wouldn't go to other than out of necessity. Seen they've started mocking our flag displays as well now. Sh*t idea blah blah, yet you just know it's something that they'll try and copy in the very near future. Not sure how they'll get a load of empty seats to start waving flags like but that's their problem.

Mistle17
Would love to see the club 'heroes' for any banners of theirs. Bar Bob Stokoe, who the fuck do they have? Kevin Phillips, Niall Quinn, Peter Reid, Nyron Nosworthy, Julio Arca? Difference is, their 'star' would have something to do with beating us, and no doubt they'd fit 'FTM' in there too. afar
Len Shackleton Brian Clough Raich Carter Shackleton of course was with us first, and his record at Sunderland was pretty impressive. Cloughie too as a player was a goal scoring machine, thank god he never felt the desire to manage his old club. I don't know a lot about Carter but have heard his name mentioned.
