That's a great result for them. Grayson seems like the perfect appointment they could have made in the circumstance. Grabban and McGeady look like excellent signings, think though like us last year with Shelvey and Gayle, they've little two back them two up with so if they are to push for promotion, they better hope those two stay fit and available.

It's a fucking long season, as we know. Injuries and mickey-mouse refereeing will slow any momentum they build, I'm sure if it. Top half position for them, doubt they'll make the play-offs though.

Going by the highlights they were far too good for Norwich and bossed them until it was 3-0 at which point Norwich started getting floods of untaken chances.

Let's hope it was more the case of Norwich being too shit than them being too good. Lots of games to go.

Only so many times we can tell ourselves the opposition are so shit that's why they're getting results.

They looked decent against Derby and good today by all accounts. Hopefully an early season flourish before the rot sets in but this leagues shite so they might be alright

We would be like the mackems themselves if we refused to accept that they have had a canny start and have a much better chance of bouncing straight back up than all of us thought. They do need to fatten up that squad though which is paper thin and will get exposed once they get into the league games a week period.

i've thought they looked good the 2 times i've seen them if tbph, look very comfortable at that level and know their gameplan etc. rather well

they might surprise a few people if they bring some more players in to get them through a long season

Grabban has made a huge difference so far, he looked lively against Derby even though they were shite in general. Hope it's just a lucky streak but he's given them some cutting edge with Defoe gone.

Sunderland v Leeds 5.30pm on Saturday night should interesting if last year's Good Friday game at St James is anything to go by.

Yup, quite pleased I stuck some leave in for that day.

Mackems have started well but surely their squad is too thin. No attacking options behind Grabban (that can score) and they can't trust him to play 45+ games? They have decent XI but after that it's a dross of a team.

Exactly. While they were 1-0 up the other night, a few local reporters at Hillsborough were tweeting that Grayson's "excellent start" was continuing.

While yes, that looked to be the case, it means next to nothing in awful slog that is the championship.

Teams are much more prone to going on good and bad runs - shooting up or dropping like a stone - down there than they are in the PL.
