Hull and Barnsley with a game in hand, against each other tomorrow  night.  One or both of the teams immediately  above the drop zone guaranteed points. Excellent.

Hopefully a Barnsley win or a draw then.

Also 29/1 for us to be in the same division next season.

Who's offering this? I'm going to stick a tenner on that as an absolute worst case scenario saver bet.

Skybet. 4/1 them, 5/1 us, double bet 29s.

Barnsley win puts them 5 behind (effectively 6)

Draw puts them 5 behind (effectively 6)

Hull win leaves them 4 behind (effectively 5) but 7 (effectively 8) of the team 5th bottom

Yeah, a Hull win would be the worst scenario, anything else puts them further behind.

Get your bets on a Hull win.

It would mean another team are much further ahead of them though.

It’d turn it into a bit of a 4 horse race, with only 1 survivng. Bolton, Reading and everyone above will have too much to survive, I would think.

If anything, a Hull win would be good to start building the gap that we’ve wanted to see develop all season.

No matter what the result tonight, it’ll have it’s positives.

They have shown time and time again, they don't need multiple teams around them, they just need to be able to catch 1 team.

Said it multiple times before but their previous escapes were usually following a change of manager - something they don’t have the option of this time.

I’d rather 4 teams cut adrift than 7-8 teams all within about 5 points of each other, reduces the changes of them getting out of it significantly.
