unless they were wearing toon tops, how on earth would they be identified as toon fans- remember the in between areas, most are Mackem fans according to SMB.

Whey, on RTG they're calling each other secret mags pretending to be Sunderland fans all the time. So a consipracy at the box office over who the real massive lads fans are is no real bombshell.

maybe thats why the actual crowds are around 7000, all the suspect mags have failed at the Mag detectors.

You'd have to be thick as mince to get "caught" at the ticket office for being a Newcastle fan.

Now I'm not saying we don't have any thick as mince fans, of course we do. But I'd think that for every one who got stopped, at least 10 would have got in through the "magdetector". So unless we see loads inside the ground celebrating opposition goals, I'm going to assume that precisely none got turned away and that this simply didn't happen.

Sounds like propaganda just to prevent anyone even trying for the remaining games: "Look lads, we'll stop you just like we did your friends!"

Fake news. Why on earth would Newcastle fans choose to enter that cesspit of a city? You need injections before entry.

"significant number"

stink of their desperation to stay relevant, they've concocted this whole thing in their minds and let some fuckwitted local journalists in on it

i mean the first thing you'd ask is how many tickets were sold above the norm?  how many people were turned away?

nah none of that facts shit

It looks like they've merged a few threads into this one - I assume the "fat Spanish waiter" one from Saturday is at the start?!

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/newcastle-fc.1425889/page-44

This one has been quiet

Reiver

Winger

Watching this thread is absolutely hilarious, no wonder this board is so popular.

There's a constant stream of Mags totally missing the point of the thread, posting their 'facts' 24/7 that ignore.

But the funniest thing is that every single one of them denies ever using phrases like 'Geordie Nation' 'King Kev' 'Messiah' 'Rafa the Gaffa' etc etc etc.

They've never heard another Mag using any of them either.

And they've never met any other Mags who've expected to finish any higher than 4th bottom, claimed they've finish top half or have Benitez take them into Europe .....

.....almost as if they never leave the house or have no friends

Riever is the same lad who sat in the three bulls on derby day with his sunlun shirt on and not one person in attendance was brave enough to say anything.

Quelle surprise he chose there, given the Three Bulls let the EDL use the place as a meeting point when they rocked up for a "march".

Hope the places gans under for that reason alone.

They've even got Coleman on about it

As for his highlighted quotes

“I totally see the security side of it and we have to listen to the police.

“So I do totally understand why we have done that [closed cash turnstiles and only allowing Sunderland fans to buy tickets if have purchase history].

“Don’t get me wrong.

“I do want to the see the stadium with as many Sunderland people in there as we can fit…but I do also get why the club have come to that decision.

“You are always going to get one team laughing at another, especially if it’s two derby teams.

“But all the Newcastle fans that I have bumped into are absolutely fabulous with me and they don’t want to see us suffer.

“All the proper Newcastle fans have been fantastic.

“In any industry there’s a small, unsavoury percentage.

“The ones I have spoken to want to see us back up there because they want to play against us.”

Needs to give Herr Stimmler a bell.

Newcastle fans tried to get tickets for Sunderland's forthcoming home game, a club ticket office insider said, "The Newcastle fans were rumbled when they tried to buy tickets for the match, something a Sunderland fan would never do."

The thing is, this has all sprung up because a few of our lot went to witness their demise to the third tier in person 30 odd years ago. Firstly that was a playoff game with the loser going down, so cheering on the opposition makes some sense, it wasn't a midweek league game where even if they lost they would still not be mathematically certain of going down. Secondly it was in a era where the only football we saw on TV was highlights of a few top division games and the odd live one. Access to coverage of their games is widely available nowadays.

Not entirely sure who's promoting this idea, maybe it's some of our lot but honestly don't see any chance of it actually happening.

Went there to the Ipswich game, in either that season , or the previous relegation.  Cant quite remember. Went because a mate was an Ipswich fan. A policeman did ask which part of Ipswich we were from, and we said Wallsend. he just laughed his head off and continued escorting us with the Ipswich Fans.

Why do they insist that the Fairs Cup wasn't a major trophy?

To win it we had to beat the team who went on to win the Dutch League that year, Sporting Lisbon, Real Zaragoza had just finished 5th in La Liga,Vitoria Setubal were one of the top 4 in Portugal, Rangers, and beat the best team in Hungary (when Hungarian football was still a force) after they'd beaten Leeds along the way.

It was a European competition. Most mackems have never seen, nor understand what it means to take part in European football.

Barcelona have it proudly on display on their honours list etc. That’s good enough for me.

What’s is more than good enough and what the mackem can’t take is that FIFA, you know the people  who run the sport and have the final say in everything related to the sport and what is what, recognize it as a major honor. That is the debate over before you could even begin it.
