TRon
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/inside-newcastle-united-rafa-benitezs-12173567 #professional That article is gold. I'm not sure many managers would allow that sort of access to what goes on behind the scenes these days. Reminds me of Keegan and his training sessions in full public. themanupstairs
Knowing Rafa that will be 100% genuine. Also, the Chronicle's website is an infected dried up anus full of puss and maggot larvae.
Dave
Is that photoshopped or genuine Think it's legit. John P
The bit with the club doctor is interesting, I think it's quite telling that he makes a point of saying if he says a player needs to do part of a training session and then drop out of the rest, the coaches will listen. I'm sure there were some quotes from Pardew about playing players who 'shouldn't really have played' or something, must have been frustrating as hell for the medical staff when he did stuff like that. Our injury record has been good this season, despite playing 2 or 3 games a week most of the time, let's hope that continues and is a result of the investment into the medical department. Wallace
Pardew also played Cisse against medical advice and was very pleased with himself in the post-match interview with Cisse scoring the goals that day. Was it against Hull?

I've really enjoyed the Douglas articles of the last two days and the whole backroom operation seems very joined up. I do think though that the size and make up of our squad has allowed for an obvious improvement in the injury situation. I can't think of a time in recent history where we've had two genuine elevens. It is isn't it? The club doc actually handed in his notice last season and was due to leave the club until Rafa persuaded him to stay and give him the authority to run his department properly. Mattoon
Pardew on Aarons: “Yes, I was advised not to but he did a little bit yesterday in training that I thought warranted him forty five minutes. “We never planned to play him longer than that but for forty five minutes he showed the quality he has got.” Pardew on Cisse: ‘Cisse should not have played. My medical staff did not agree that he should be included. He’s trained five days. ‘But myself and John looked at him on Thursday and thought “he’s fresh, he’s bright, he’s not ready for 90 minutes but he knows how to carry the jersey”. ‘That’s where I felt some sympathy for Manu. He’s not ready to carry that jersey yet full-time, it’s heavy that No 9. He’s had too much responsibility. ‘That was great to see Papiss take that chance, that little movement and pessimism in the box.’

And Mrs n tells me radge also means horny. That probably won't come up in a football context. Hope no-one gets geet radge in the dressing room.
