HaydnNUFC
It's been a while since he was any good, be a risk imo. Was the best striker since Ba though. 14 goals in a Pardew managed team. Would have had 20 if he didn't get injured IMO, his pace made him really hard to stop. I worry that he's lost all that though. Think he suffered when we lost Cabaye as well, mind. Can't remember fully 2013/14 (probably for the better) but I can't remember when he was injured? I know he got sent off at Norwich and came back against Villa and scored a last minute winner and then got one at Hull where Pards butted Meyler but I can't remember fully. First half of that season he was quality though.
Guest
I'd be happy with Remy if he's fit.
Guest firetotheworks
Remy ffs Just goes to show where we are after Rafa's insistence on having players who want to play and want to play for Newcastle. He's the antithesis of that.

St1pe
Has Remy had more than a handful of good games since he left us? Seems desperate and exactly the type of player we don't need.

Leazes_End_Mag
People saying they'd take Remy [emoji23][emoji23] He's been finished for over 2 year and he's done everything possible in the past to make it clear he doesn't really fancy us, even during his loan spell here. Stay well clear of him IMO.
TRon
I can understand why we might be interested in Remy, he'd be perfect for Rafa's system if he was the Remy of old.
LionOfGosforth
Where's our LB ffs?? How can it be so fucking hard to find one? Can barely remember the last time we had a class LB

If he can get his fitness and confidence back then great. Can't see it though unfortunately.
Stuy_O
I didn't mind Remy when he was here but if this is how far we are down the list then we are utterly desperate.
Guest firetotheworks
FWIW I thought Remy was brilliant and preferred him over Ba and Cisse in our modern era. But there are huge question marks over his motivation and whether it's even possible for him to get near who he was when he was last here. It all comes down to whether we'd bother playing him or not, for me.

ponsaelius
Remy is completely done these days. This window is descending into the standard farce stage.
loki679
Nee way i'd take Remy. His legs have gone, he'll be totally unmotivated and won't give a shit and he's half the player he was when he was here. Bloke's pure mercenary, get someone in who might actually care. xLiaaamx
He's only 30. He can't be finished unless he's secretly Michael Owen

thenige
Aye thought he was fantastic for us, but absolutely finished. The fact he's barely played football for three years either at Chelsea or a shocking spell at Palace put paid to his top level career. Amazed he's not playing in the Middle East by now. Zero
I can't understand the rationale to play a knackered Remy and let Mitrovic rot on bench.
xLiaaamx
Anyway, like I said. Its a "we tried" move. Its not meant to work.

I know where you're coming from, but to me it's pretty obvious. Mitrovic just doesn't cut it and we don't have the benefit of being able to let him develop in the first team, we need someone that's ready now. In that case, at least sell Mitro now to recoup some cash and get other body in.
