Dave
I'd obviously not complain at either of those but if we're relying on loans to save our skin then it's yet another damning indictment of Mike Ashley's God-awful fucking transfer policy. Can't wait to get shot of the soul-sapping prick. I'd prefer loans to more permanent deals like £21m for Diame, to be honest. Diame has got to go down as our worst ever signing IMO, to think he's our record transfer as well.
TRon
It was more just a comment on how we're in this ridiculous position where we're totally f***ed AGAIN and it was all totally unnecessary AGAIN. We should be sitting happily in midtable, developing our own players without having to rely on loaning players. Even if we were mid table I'd be wanting these two on loan mind. I wouldn't, unless there's the possibility they turn permanent. Completely defeats the point of building a side. I want to see the best NUFC team possible and if that means we saw David Luiz and Daniel Sturridge for 5 months, then that'd be the best NUFC team available. Unless we're spending £60-70m on a CB and CF. I agree with your sentiment but these two are exceptional. In the circumstances, if we could secure our premiership status with a couple of expensive loan mercenaries, I'd be all for it. We can worry about next season when the takeover has hopefully been completed.

Guest firetotheworks
Such a weird rumour. Not only is it completely unrealistic in just about every way, but he's not at all what's needed either. Edit: Luiz, not Slimani.
Dokko
Such a weird rumour. Not only is it completely unrealistic in just about every way, but he's not at all what's needed either. Edit: Luiz, not Slimani. Would surely spell the end of Clark as well. Can't see him replacing Lejuene just after buying him and starting him recently. AyeDubbleYoo
Although unrealistic, Luiz would make us a much better team. His drive from the back is amazing.
Dave
Just to entertain it for a few seconds, I reckon we'd play him in midfield.
Altamullan
Would Luiz even get a game for us? Only at CB, CM up top or at full back. Or keeper.
Guest
Mbemba more likely. Lascelles & Luiz () with Lejeune & Clark as cover. Slimani would be great though is there a reason why he's not playing at Leicester?
AyeDubbleYoo
Vardy and Okazaki I suppose, no idea beyond that.
Disco
Just to entertain it for a few seconds, I reckon we'd play him in midfield. That's where he played him for Chelsea. (in the EL at least).
joeyt
Vardy and Okazaki I suppose, no idea beyond that. And Iheanacho who they've just spent loads of money on. They've also got Ulloa and Musa who don't get games
Stottie
Just wondering, but if Ashley is selling up but possibly not in time for January, does that mean we can have a transfer budget that is not wages included? If PCP want to get anywhere, surely the wage structure will have to go if we cannot compete with other strugglers in the division.
Papavasiliou
Anyone else find Luiz a bit of a strange player for Rafa to be interested in? Imagine not wanting to play Mbemba or Mitro because they're too much of a loose cannon but being perfectly fine with David Luiz bombing around. AyeDubbleYoo
It would be a fairly bold dice roll to keep a team up mind.

There is the small matter of Luiz being loads better than either of them. I've never really rated him as a defender but he's definitely improved under Conte. I guess Rafa knows him and trusts him from their time together, which seems to be the main thing with him, and the reason Mbemba and Mitro don't play. Kimbo
Not that i'm opposed to it but Luiz would probably get suspended a lot playing for us. Not the cleanest of players.
AyeDubbleYoo
Luiz is top quality like, people just laugh at him because he's got bouncy hair.
geordiedean
I don't rate him highly and hes clumsy as fuck and prone to go wayward but he is light years ahead of anything we have at CB and hes also commanded over 100m in transfer fees in his career If theres a chance tog et him in they need to snap it up even if its only for 6 months
Shays Given Tim Flowers
Lascelles and Luiz attacking set pieces would be rather good. But then, he ain't coming so.

Imagine not wanting to play Mbemba or Mitro because they're too much of a loose cannon but being perfectly fine with David Luiz bombing around. He doesn't really bomb forward though, he just brings the ball out with some composure. I don't think he loses the ball much, he'd be great for our football. I'm not sure he's what we need defensively though, might be similar problems to what we have with Lejeune.
