Guest
Man utd fans say Shaw is nowhere near the same player since his injury. I'd avoid. Nice to see they've written off a 21 year old kid who's played 8 games since injury like.

joeyt
Newcastle are keen to revive their bid to sign Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney in the summer. The 26-year-old was called up to the Scotland squad this week after his performances in the Championship. His promising displays have also caught the eye of Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez. Newcastle made enquiries in January but Fulham were reluctant to sell their player of the year. Cairney is rated in the £12million bracket by the Cottagers and will not be short of suitors at the end of the season. He scored Fulham's first goal in their 3-1 demolition of Newcastle last week and ran the game from midfield. His man of the match display cemented Newcastle's belief that he can improve their squad ahead of a possible return to the Premier League. Fulham are reluctant to sell teammate Ryan Sessegnon despite increasing interest in the talented 16-year-old while Everton are keen on his twin brother Steven. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4331170/Newcastle-United-renew-Tom-Cairney.html £12mil would be a decent deal should we go up

Guest
The last two rumours just go to show how much we're going to have to spend this summer like. That's £27m for a good left-back and midfielder, it'll cost the same for a CB and winger for the level we'd need, and that's before we think about a new number 10, striker, keeper if Krul goes etc.
Ketsbaia
Most Premier League teams have set a new transfer record in the past 2 or 3 years. Ours is still £16m on Owen, 2005. If we go up, we're exceeding that AT LEAST once.

Hanshithispantz
Haven't seen a great deal of him tbh but he starts behind the striker for Fulham. He might be a Lallana type who can sort of play anywhere though, you get that feeling from him but I'm not sure.

mighty__mag
Seems a bit pricey for a 26 year old. De Jong is back to full fitness and form while on loan. Hopeful if he does return he gets a good pre season and maybe gets a chance here, for all his injuries i really wish it would work here for him and us. joeyt
He played centre mid for Fulham against us alongside McDonald, it's Johansen that played behind the striker for Fulham
Gallowgate Toon
I like Cairney but he's definitely not the most athletic. For that price, he'd not be coming as a backup and I don't think he'd complement Shelvey, a superior player, well at all. Unless we're going for a 4-3-3 next season...
