I think everyone would do it in the gallowgate if it was publicised for a few weeks (before that game)

…. also advertising every few days beforehand / reminders etc

I respectfully disagree. Gallowgate middle tier is arguably the worst for take up.

I mean they have been a lot better in more recent years. Think it just took a while for them to get the whole flags thing...and of course...that's just my opinion :)

Said it before but the average age of the ST holder in the Gallowgate middle tier will be well into the 50s. A few younger ones in there but generally speaking those in there have had their season tickets for a long time, many since the stand was opened in 1994.

The front and Upper tiers have had a far greater turnover of supporter over the years which has freshened those areas up somewhat.

I have donated. Hope we do this justice. Ever since the takeover and the return of worflags I’ve wanted a tribute to the king.

I want it to be the best display yet although that'd be difficult given some of those we've witnessed. Dig deep people if you're able to.

Donated.

Absolutely love the bloke. Who doesn't, tbf?

Pity we dipped (see what I did there?) out on tickets but will be watching with glassy eyes. Let's give him a warm welcome home and batter his other team.

Has it been confirmed he's going go be there at the Liverpool game? I know there were talks he was being invited, but I've not seen any confirmation and he has turned down similar invites before over the years.

Little tip for you. On the day of the match keep checking resale. Even for the big games there's quite a few last minute tickets become available. Was a fair few for the Arsenal match the other week and I even got one in the standing corner v Man Utd last season 3 hours before KO. Especially with it being midweek there'll be some last minute drop outs.

Relying on that tier thats always empty isn't gonna end well

Relying on the Leazes End full stop doesn't end well. Remember them somehow turning a huge surfer flag into a bow tie at the Brighton match.

I'm in the Gallowgate tonight so will get a good look at it anyway. Hope they don't mess up after all the hard work that's been put in.
